I vote for Big Brother to be shown! Its starts soon and its the last one! Surely nobody will be watching the football when they could be watching the last ever BB!

We can do this better using our own terraces ........... if enough of us know each other then you goto a different apartment each evening, take your own chairs and coolboxes, hosts choose the music, volume at acceptbale level, instant bar service, good chin wag with your mates, and all at a snip of the price ......... The Clover as it is just does not interest me at all, even before they brought the flippsies in i couldn't hear anything that was being said ......... you all probably thought i was just being ignorant if you were sat with me and being met with a blank face

For the most part we are with Shampers as we haven't used The Clover to any great extent- as became clear to me when I responded to the thread about the value of the Polaris Discount Card- but it has it's place for the resort and as Paul is saying better customer service would likely improve it no end. (probably putting things on the screens that customers want is also good customer service)

I am a woman and I enjoy the odd game of football (hubby and son support Spurs and Liverpool so god help me!!)
I have been over loads of time (without and with the Clover) and think that there would be nothing wrong with showing football matches, both premier league and Spanish football (son thinks Messi is deadly). we defo need something to generate a bit of atmosphere and I am sick of having to shlepp down to Campasol to watch matches in the bars there. Have nothing against the place but dont really like it much but as then absence of decent places on site we have no choice.
Like it or not when taking teenagers and young adults on hols with us we need to be able to supply them with stuff that they actually like and my son and my nephews are into football and we would rather they were happy to come out with us instead of moaning and groaning that there was nothing there at night for them.
I dont advocate footie 24/7 but there needs to be something to keep everyone happy - as said before, those that hate footie, both male and female can sit outside in the warm evenings.
Last time we were over, three nights on the trot the Clover had no Bacardi!! Come on. its hardly an exotic drink that only Del Boy would ask for!

Hi happy Buyer,
Think I might have drunk it all at Easter. Sorry
Hi Shampers,
When are you out next so we can organise this rota? I am an expert on rotas.
Hi Darren,
BB would be like the kiss of death on the Clover, think I would rather watch paint dry. Never watched the first, second or third and certainly wont be watching the last.
Why do we need a TV in the clover.???

Just back from a lovely sunny week in apartment apart from thunder storm on Friday.
The clover now seems to have changed opening hours and does not open until 3.00 pm and stays open until 3.00 am.
Not very good for golfers wishing to have a refreshment after playing a morning game of golf. Could this be a bit of sour grapes on polaris's part ?

Was down several times during the week in the morning to go to supermarket and never saw it open yet. Doors closed and cushions for seating piled up inside. The sign in the supermarket had old times on it but clover sign said 3 till 3. Dont know if temporary or not.

Won't do anything to help the golf numbers and overall number of people using facilities if you can't get a drink after your game unless you tee off around 11am or later. Especially in summer as more people would play earlier to avoid the heat.
I suppose golfers could just stop in at the supermarket for a few bottles and then sit outside the Clover on the seats (minus cushions I'd guess).

Shame that the management of the clover have no vision, it would be a superb breakfast place as theres nowhere else to get a decent cofee/tea pastries, bacon butties etc. It should be catering for the clientel not insisting the clientel should like what they provide. They will never suceed with the lunatics running the asylum!!!

Just like to say we have been here for a few days and have had no problems with the staff, its not quite as good service as it was a year ago, but it is still pretty good. The new opening hours are a little buzzare

I think the main problem is that the management is remote. When I was over we spoke to patricia a couple of times about things, and each time the response was that she would have to ask her boss (who was away!) I question was raised about the cigarette machine, I for one am please that it has gone no smoking, but people still want cigarettes, but "the boss" said to remove it when the no smoking policy came in (wonder if he has ever been on condado??), same with opening times, now that they don't run the golf, they don't feel they need to provide facilities, and apparently there was very little other trade in the day. Also on entertainment, ev erything needed to go back to "the boss". We need someone with authority to run the bar and make decisions - on site!
That said, we had no problems with service -but then it was never very busy!

Just returned from a week at CDA and completely agree with most of sentiments echoed here. Wanted to watch Eng game on Saturday but wasnt on in Clover (the bar staff did look through listings for TV but not on there). Whilst I appreciate not everyone wants to watch the footie, surely major games should be supported?
What about quiz nights/ family nights etc / musicians? Noticed there was a singer advertised last week - did anyone go along ?
Think the breakfast / coffee shop idea would be fab, when on resort I walk over to supermarket in morning and would be great to stop there for coffee and pastry.
Think this area could be so much more, lets hope to see some improvements for our next trip.
