Urban Real Estate Tax??

Hi All,

Have just received a couple of bills for myself and hubby in relation to the above and supposed charges of 44.55 euros each? we both dont seem to remember having to pay this last year? can anybody shed some light on these charges?

Local Tax to Alhama council due every year. Depends when you completed. Check if you still owe from last year. See Document folder  for form to set up DD with e mail contact Alhama council.

I too have just received this - 55.58 Euros in our case. Seems to have come just about on the anniversary of our completion. I suspect I will contact my bank to try to set up a DD.

It´s easy to sort this out. Don´t go to your bank, go to the Council office in Alhama and show these bits of paper and the girls behind the desk will sort you out - they speak good English. Take some cash for last years overdue taxes and they will then set up an annual direct debit for the next years which do come out in May. Cost per year is approx´ 50 euros per person.

The Council office is just off the main street in Alhama sort of behind the main police station. If you park up an ask, you will be directed. People seem very friendly in Alhama.  If you go into the tourist information office which is very nearby they are great in providing help.

PS: they also organise walking tours  of Alhama lasting about 90 minutes which I would recommend. Just did one last Sauturday - very informative and they are free. Lots of history and culture in Alhama.

En este momento ya está al cobro el Impuesto de los Bienes Inmuebles (IBI) del año 2010, que finaliza el día 5 de julio. Para realizar el pago, debe hacer un depósito en nuestra cuenta y enviar un comprobante de ingreso por fax o correo electrónico

Si desea domiciliar el pago de los recibos para años venideros, tiene que hacerse desde un banco español. Adjunto el documento a rellenar, para que pueda domiciliar sus recibos de IBI. Por favor, rellenarlo y enviarlo por fax  al (+34 968 633 643) o escanearlo y enviarlo por correo electrónico a condadoalhama@asirec.es, recuerde que debe firmar y enviar una copia de su documento de identidad, porque se trata de una autorización de domiciliación
