Just an update on the results of yesterday site visit to say that the damage to site was not as severe as last time because the beeding plants or more established . There was mud on the roads especially on the entrance road on the entrace to the range and the normal place, the road to the island
Around many of the villas by the island the loose chippings on the gardens have been washed into the roads plus a number of trees have been uprouted by the Mentas on the main road on the entrance road but again no damage to property has resulted from this
The properties didn´t fair quite so well internally although I didn´t find any major damage, out of the 18 checked 12 showed some signs of water ingress, mainly around windows and doors and these have been recorded, photographed and reported to Corvera
On the Laurel penthouses the threshold steps and deflected fitted are working but because of the volume of water that we found on the landings I would advise that the steps be installed in all Laurels and Magnoias, as we found some water coming under the front doors
The biggest problem remains the MDF skirting because already in a number of places this is blown by the water and already seperating from the walls
Some pools survived but most will need filtering and cleaning because of the dirt that has washed in, the same proplem as we saw on a couple of pools on RODA yesterday when we were checking properties
