We are sure you will find the Roda package on the expensive side. The only reason we would take their package would be if we were going to use their rental dept..
There are other packages available from local suppliers who can provide the same quality at far cheaper prices.
Pls pm me if you need any help.

Hi Investor
Just returned from our lovely ground floor Alhambra A apartment which we completed in Jan. WE have just had our first long holiday at the resort and it is fab.
I have loads of contacts and information on furniture. Not sure what to advise about the Roda pack, but I went into the Rentals office this week and they will not entertain renting the apartment out to their clients unless you furnish with their pack. It really is up to you, but if you want any more information, please do not hesitate to contact me. There are other options and I can put you in touch with various people.
With kind regards
Sandra

We have purchased a two bedroomed apartment at Roda Golf in phase 3, due to be completed by the end of this year. As an obsessive shopaholic I don't want to buy a furniture package, I want to go out and purchase everything myself and get the pleasure out of doing so. Can anybody recommend somebody trustworthy that can take delivery, fit curtains, lights, etc. We have looked at MRIs and we are not too keen on their packages or their prices, especially when we have heard from a number of disgruntled staff of theirs that they don't even get their hard earned commission! Will tell you more if you want to know. MRI has also advised us that if we don't purchase their furniture package we are unlikely to be able to get a health & safety certificate - can anybody advise us on this please.

We have bought on phase 1 a penthouse - take a look at www.sunnymurcia,com for photos. We used DFS in San Javier (nothing to do with UK DFS!!!) and they were so helpful - being British helps withh any language barriers. They also seem to know lots of people who would beable to help with lights curtains etc.

Thanks for this information on DFS, we will certainly give them a try. What about accepting deliveries? Is there somebody in Roda that will go to the trouble of taking deliveries as it may not be possible for us to be there at all times to do this. When we were in Roda in May of this year, we bumped into a couple of ladies - company called Parosol I believe - who told us they would accept deliveries, fit the lights, etc., but I can't find their details.

Hi, if you want to rent your property through Calidona Services, then you must purchase the Calidona Furniture Package. It contains everything you need, down to crockery and cutlery, pictures on the walls, washing machine, etc. If anyone wants a full list of what it contains, let me know. After completion, it takes approx 3 weeks to install and the price includes Calidona installing everything.

Another very helpful source is a British couple who run a company called keyclean - we use them as our management company - meet and greet for rentees and also arrange the cleaning and laundry. They have a locksmith who we used to put on window locks etc. I am sure they also have an electrician and others. possibly also would be happy to accept deliveries.

I can also vouch for Keyclean, we are using them as a property management company for meet and greet etc. They are also arranging for various works to be carried out for us and I know they can arrange electrical work.
DFS are very good, we have bought a number of bits and pieces from them and when we had a problem with one item they replaced it and re-delivered without any hassle or cost.
Two other good furniture suppliers are: 1. Mebles Mar Menor, next door to El Patio restaurant and 2. Murcia Furniture- their fitting team is excellent; they supplied and fitted most of our lights.
We shopped around for all our furniture and are very pleased with the outcome. Feel free to send PM if you would like more information, pictures etc.

We used www.furniture4spain.com and they did the lot - lights, curtains, furniture, bedding, electricals. We worked with them to have something "outside the pack" and it worked very well.
They fitted everything, including a light I bought separately for the dining area, the curtain rails, plus loads of other stuff.
We were very pleased with them and have no hesitation in recommending them.
