Leaks in ground floor apt.............

We have an apt in jardines 13 and water is leaking from apt above(1586 , just in case owner is online). I believe water has leaked into above apt and is subsequently working its way down. I am in a delema as owners are not there and there is no way of stoppping this problem. I have met other people in the community offices with similiar problems. Leaks appear to start working there way down through bathroom light initially. If anybody has any more insight into resolving this problem please reply. Thanks Owen

We had the same problem with water through bathroom light, they then took up all the tiles in front of the door at upstairs apartment and thing were looking good. Unfortunately this has happened again due to the rain (our key holders told us). We had had part of the ceiling replaced as well due out soon so maybe back to square one.

I have heard the issue before was caused by the tiles in front of the above apartment sloping towards the door and the water has no where to run off. It might be worth checking to see if the upstairs door patio is flooded and if the drain at the front above your patio is not blocked. and then sweep it out to stop in leaking anymore.

If not pop in to the Millenium office at Al kazar and ask them to contact them for you. They may have the details now.

I have an upstairs apartment and confused by the water would leak into your hall way as it should be solid cement. I have heard that sometimes the water down the extractor fan chimney may blow in, if that helps.

Thank you everyone for your replies and suggestions. I have a little more insight into the cause of the problem hopefully..  Apparently apartments  down pipes join into one above the bathroom area in certain properties on the ground floor. I will try and contact polaris world services to rectify problem. This problem is not the apartment above as they are dry thank god. Thanks again.  Owen

You need to contact Milenium Levante as they have building insurance for the resort.  Email address is condado@mileniun-levante.es.

You need as much info as possible about the damage to your property and if possible photos of the damage.
