Darren is hugely disappointed and I for one can understand that- my extended family anticipated several properties in every section of CdA and a thriving golf breaks holiday company. Most didnt get further than making an initial deposit on their apartments and others have walked away from their second deposits. I am the only one that returns to CdA and the two remaining family apartments are with holiday rental companies- so not as anticipated for 2010 for the family and my expectaction is that any improvement in the sale market will see the final two apartments being put up for sale, even if I object..
However, I have tried to see the good in what we have been left with and I dont think its altogether PW's fault and crying about it wont change things anyway. Being bitter never did me any good and I dont see it being a way forward Darren- CdA as we have it is what we are left with and I feel the apartments ( for the most part) are excellent value whether you bought at 2007 prices or 2010 prices, I've just decided to bite the bullet and get on with things and save up because maybe I can buy one on my own.- and I wouldnt be considering that if I didnt like the place. I am particulalry delighted that PW didnt start to build Golf Suites or Mirador and leave their half built monstrosities across the horizon. You want to try to live on, or try to sell on a resort with that sight sitting there- I know how that works!! I now live and work in Spain and have personal daily experience of the absolute grief it causes when a development isnt finished to the standard that you have on CdA. Even the original 131 euro's for a two bed apartment on a resort with a golf course, a supermarket and bar/ restaurant is still tremendous value and CdA offers more than that- space is one particular aspect I could point out.
I am delighted to read the Club house ( in any form) is still a possibility and if PTAN was accurate about the sports zone potentialy opening (1st August but delayed) again then I think we have a lot to be thankful for in the current market.
