Hi All, Actually at the end of the day it might be Calidona and the Completed Buyers versus the Non Completers, i said this in a posting a few months back, as a completed buyer i had every right to expect other deposit payers to complete their purchases as well. Calidona may not be able to pursue non completers in their own countries but in conjunction with completed buyers they could. Ultimately though i suspect what will happen is that deposit payers will lose their deposits and the Spanish Courts will give Calidona the go ahead to re-sell the non completed properties, this is what happened in the previous Spanish property market recession so it will probably be the same this time around. The bottom line is that recently completed buyers have posted on this site saying how happy they are to have finally completed, when you are here at Corvera sitting in the property you now own looking out at a beautiful view very little of the rubbish you read in this forum actually matters. I am still yet to meet anyone on Corvera who is not happy with their purchase. When the new Airport opens this will bring an influx of new buyers and we can finally leave the 'toe dippers' and 'never wills' behind.

You are right as usual Dave about some (not all) of the buyers taking the developer to court. Calidona must really love this as they don't then need to pay the initial costs to instigate a case but can merely counter-sue when the time comes. As it's the buyer that becomes the aggressor in these cases , it just adds to the weight in favour of Calidona.

Anyway, back to amenities.

We have tennis, paddle-tennis, basketball, boules etc. on-site. We have the Corvera Horse Riding stables just on the development perimiter. We have a great golfcourse that is maturing very nicely and If twice the number of people had completed on phase1 & 2 as was expected by now then we would already have the clubhouse as well. Walking in the mountains and cycling (huge sport in SPAIN) is freely available throughout the surrounding area.

I just get really fed-up with people trying to use the lack of a spa hotel as their excuse for non-completion. There are hotel rooms for sale in London if that's what you want instead of the peace and tranquility that a golf-complex provides. So many of the people I have spoken to from La Torre have never used the 5-Star Intercontinental hotel that they have dominating the centre of their development. If we do want a fix of glitz, glamour or shopping then the centre of Murcia city is just 20 mins drive or a 2 euro bus ride away.

By the way, the hotel was always dependent on private, external investment from the likes of De-Vere as is the airport (which is also in the brochure and the Carrascoy mountains which are provided by mother nature. If the national park is de-regulated or the airport never finished (next Spring/Summer we'll be flying in), do you think that we could blame Calidona and ask for our money back.

You will never move on in life until you take at least part-ownership of the problem. Try it one day, you will free your mind. Otherwise, even if you eventually get some money back from Corvera you will spend the rest of your days moaning to yourself that it was nothing to do with you FREELY signing that contract but Calidona ruined all your dreams at Corvera. Just remember then, YOU DID NOTHING TO HELP>

Simple Simon/Steve

Sounds like you two idiots are getting desperate, you're actually pleading for us to complete so they'll give you a 10 euro volleyball net to go with your "Boules" pitch. Dream on..........your posts get more vitriolic, but this is natural as the enormity of your blunder sinks in.

Sorry to disappoint you again DaveJ but I still don't consider my purchase a blunder. Can't wait to get back out there in April and enjoy the golf and the peace and quiet. Absolutely love the place even as it is or should that be especially as it is? By the way, vitriolic; I've never called anybody an idiot !!

Hi, Dave, Thanks for your posting, i completed my purchase of a phase two tilo apartment more than a year ago and i am very happy with my apartment and with the complex generally, Corvera Golf is certainly better than many of the other Golf Communities across Murcia, the only thing we are lacking is a focal point; a club house or hotel. Dave, could you give a little more detail as to why you have not yet completed ? I'm not sure why you are posting regularly on this forum if you do not have any intention of completing your purchase ? You certainly won't get your deposit money back if Corvera Golf or Calidona went bankrupt, so i do not understand your motivation for your negative postings ?  As i said earlier in the two previous Spanish property recessions in the last twenty years the Spanish Courts who we all know move very slowly indeed finally came down almost exclusively on the side of the Spanish Developers over the Foreign Buyers, the deposits were lost and in many cases court costs and community fees, etc were lodged as debts, this means you can never buy in Spain in the future without first clearing those debts plus their accrued interest. When the market picks up Corvera Golf and all the other community developments across Murcia will start marketing their re-sale properties, the new Murcia Region airport at Corvera and the new Paramount theme park will likely mean our area will be at the forefront of the next Spanish property boom. Either complete your purchase or hand over your keys, ultimately these are really your only options, i personally really do not mind either way, i would be happy to welcome you or any re-sale buyer who eventually completes the purchase of the apartment or villa you originally put a deposit on.

Simon, what an excellent post.  Succinct and without any unnecessary personal insults.

Vip Supporter

Sorry not sure why you area asking this question in relationship to Corvera but the answer is yes in Spain and the UK, resulting from overall credit crunch, where there are many propertues being repoccessed by banks and where people hand back their keys

Some bamks like CAM have created specialised divisions to sell on these properties

This is however nothing to do with this meeting
