Friends,
I feel that I should declare myself. I do not have a property on La Entrada, I am waiting for my apartment on La Recoleta phase two, hopefully early next year. I do cruise this forum as well as La Recoleta on this site and the Panorama Park web site.
We are I believe in danger of missing a great opportunity of unity. Each development within Senorio de Punta Prima could just look after itself, Work to the advantage of itself without considering the larger environment. It is true that each development needs to look after its own interest but I do feel that there is also a greater need.
In a previous message I put forward the idea of a Chamber of Commerce, perhaps that is a bit highbrow, but lets look at the issue of the Pitch and Put. From what I read on this site its future is in doubt.
I feel that the Pitch and Put is an important feature of our area, I’m sure that those who will be renting out their property will not fail to mention its presence in marketing literature. I’m doubly sure that the developer and all those agents flogging the property never fail to mention the Pitch & Put. The problem as I see it right now is that its future is not seen as the providence of any of the current management committees, though it is important to us all, in one way or an other.
If there was a cooperative of all the plots and lets face it, by the time Senorio de Punta Prima is finished it will be much bigger than it is now, that committee could take the issue on board.
So for the Pitch & Put, how about this for an idea?
An executive committee, representing the whole of Senorio de Punta Prima makes an offer to take over the Pitch & Put, on the following deal.
Until the developer has handed over all the property on Senorio de Punta Prima, the developer maintains the fabric of the Pitch and Put (after all its presentation plays an important part of their marketing). The Senorio de Punta Prima Executive manages it.
Initially using volunteers from the community the Pitch & Put could be run, any money it makes going into a community fund. By the time the committee takes it over fully it should be known in the facility can be run in a way that it could afford to employ staff to run it.
So, much food for thought, I will put similar postings on the La Recoleta forum and the forum on the Panorama Park site and wait the fall out.
John
