Hi all,
I've just heard about the 2 earthquakes centred around Lorca today which have so far claimed 7 lives!!
News reports are sketchy but i was wondering if anyone who is out at Condado now experienced anything, and if there was/is any damage that they are aware of?!?
Cheers
Dave

Really really sorry to hear of the loss of life. Also the town itself has suffered a lot of damage. My sympathy goes to all the good people of Lorca.

I'm with you Frank!
My sympathy is with everyone in Lorca.
It also looks like there's been a few "wobble" moments on the Condado, hope all's well with you people because
there is a lot of people thinking of you out there!
This full or half thing is inmaterial xx

I only heardof the earthquake a few minutes ago.
Like every one else our thought are for all in the Lorca area & particulaly those who have lost family members
Very relieved that every one on Codado is OK.
We had a tremour a few years ago 4 on the ricta scale & though it was nothing to compare with Lorca, it happinded quite late & we were in bed, though it was over almost as soon as it had begun it was a little scarey. it most have been terrifying for those in Lorca not only to experience one but then to go through it all again.

We live in a top floor penthouse, and when the second quake hit everything started to shake, there doesn't appear to be any damage to the infrastructure of the complex, but I suppose damage to underground pipework / swimming pools will only show at a latter date.We have been to Lorca many times and our heart goes out to the families of the people who died in this tragedy

I was sat on the patio reading when it struck. My chair bounced up and down for about 10 seconds and I thought someone had come up behind me and was shaking my chair. No noise, no warning. No damage but will look around to see if there is any visible damage anywhere. Suppose there is a possibility of ornaments falling from shelves etc.
Just received email from mileniun saying there is no damage at Condado but don't know how they know that so quickly.

When I heard about the quake I thought about our visits to Lorca and how terrifying that would be on those narrow streets. I certainly feel for the people in Lorca. Hopefully the surrounding areas get behind them in what sounds like could be a big rebuilding exercise.
I am glad we flew home last week as after going through the Christchurch quake in Feb I think my nerves would have been a little frayed with this one.
