Buildings and Contents Insurance

For the past few years I have had Zurich insurance throught PW.  I just missed out last year when the community insurance info filtred through.  How do I go about getting the community insurance and approximately how much would buildings and contents for a 2 bed Jardines apartment be?  Many thanks.  Arlene.

Cheers George.  Unfortunately ML have just come back to me to say that if I rent the property then any claim caused by a renter IS NOT covered so I guess that if someone renting the apartment burns it to a cinder then I am not covered.  I wonder if the other owners who have opted for the community insurance are aware of this??

I would hazard a guess if you are renting out your property you MUST get public liability insurance to cover you against claims for injury / damages etc.  We all read everyday about the claim culture which has infested our society here in UK, so it must be at the top of your list if you are renting out.  It would probly cost more to compensate somone for a broken fingernail than to rebuild the place following a fire!!!
