As this is my first thread on the forum i would just like to say that i find it very informative and helpful and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.Im looking for info , options on what is the most cost effective way of making regular phone calls to the UK from Condado. Any info would be gratefully received.

If you intend to get internet in your apartment as we have then the cheapest we have found is to get a skype phone. I got one from Ebay for about 5 pounds and then loaded up skype credit. You just plug your skype phone into your netbook/laptop and make a call like you would from a normal phone. It costs us about 1 to 2 cents per minute to call a uk landline.

 If calling from mobile sign on to voip stunt  , get credit, call a Madrid number then use voip stunt account to nake international calls..  Skype is best, some mobiles can use skype in wi fi hot spot 

also get unlocked phone and buy local sim like  mas movil  which works on orange  , see which signal works by you
