Nicklaus trail management

Laverdad today says the rebirth of the 6 nicklaus trail courses will be managed by Francisco Sardinas. He was vice president of Polaris World and previously ran the Nicklaus trail for Polaris.

Do you, or anyone reading this, know if the provision of a club house will be a requirement for the CdA course to be included as part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail?

Very good point...can't really include CdA on a golf trail and advertise it as top class golf as although the course itself could meet that description, without a clubhouse the golf experience doesn't.

Might mean some movement on the clubhouse. 

Barry maybe a sweep for the Golf Society....pick the month the clubhouse will officially open.  Could be a fundraiser!!

Why is a club house a dead cert?

Wouldn't say dead cert but if they want to really push the trail I would be surprised if a clubhouse isn't in their plans.

CdA would be one of the top courses on the trail but they wouldn't want to leave people with the experience of eating a sandwich in the carpark which has happened to visiting golfers in the past.

Of course they may wait to see what the decision on paramount is.

I agree the CDA course is very good but the perimeter needs some urgent attention to get it tidy as it looks an absolute disgrace when playing from certain holes. Plus the land where the Oasis was due to go also needs some attention to make the whole place look more professional.

If everyone is adamant about the club house and Paramount what are peoples thoughts on the 2 Bears Best that were on the original plan?

It apears IRM Have invested heavily in the purchase of 6 courses so far and also a town centre. It's surely in their interest to invest a little more to complete the course at Condado and build a clubhouse, it would not only complete Condado but also the  Nicklaus Golf Trail, even more so considering they also own Al Kazar and surely if the Golf is a success then the town would also benefit

Makes me laugh out loud, since Olagolf took over most people on this forum have had nothing but good things to say about them, they were glad to see the back of Polaris, they believed they would get their clubhouse and that the parimenter of the course would be cleared up etc etc.

Now someone else (a former Polaris employee) has taken over and its the same old people with the same delusions.

My bet still stands, but few of the HF brigde ever take my bet?? £10 says no clubhouse by Christmas 2012!

Just to make things clear can I suggest you read simply networking article, IRM now own 6 golf courses and they have appointed this previous PW director to manage the business, so it isnt PW at all, this bloke has obvisously jumped ship before PW completely sink. Read the article because IRM are looking to make these courses (not just ours) something special. Glass is getting fuller but still slowly!!!!

Can only agree with that.  If they plan to target golfers for a week or two away to play all the courses they need good facilities.

As far as tidying up CdA goes...I'd say it will be another few years before the course develops and all the "scrub" areas grow out.  Once all the grasses grow and mature the course will look much better but that all takes time.

Whinging Wilkes stikes again get over yourself, change the record its becoming boring,  most people enjoy what they have on Condado ,you happen to be in a small minority  you should be the last person to be taking bets, last time you took a gamble you lost and havent stopped whinging since, if your going to play the game read the rules, you brought off plan like most the others  

While I hardly ever agree with Darren I dfon't think you can have a go at him on the clubhouse front...we have had many false dawns which could make even the most optimistic person get a bit negative...so imagine what its done to Darren!!!

And to be fair he sticks to his facts...just interprets them under a darker cloud than most.

I must say I like Borat's take on Darren's gambling record!

Borat, lets try and keep the name calling in the playground and not this forum. I do gamble lots, condado was never a gamble, it was a place to visit just for me, I don't rent it and "Didnt" intend to sell it.

You are sick of my Whinging? You have only made 2 posts, you must get sick quickly. How do some of the more experienced forum members cope?

I am in the Minority? - Well yes on this forum, because as soon as a negative person posts, they get shot down. Just this week I read a post from a member who was shot down and said she would never post again(sure you all read that). Also CM84 knew about this change of management weeks before anyone else, but when he put some info on this forum, people shot him down and Dakey even accused him of being me.

Most people dont agree with my views, but they are my view and Borat you should accept differing views. The majority isnt always right!
