Children on the driving range

 Could I ask the parents of the ten or more children that decended onto the driving range last night between 9.30 and 10 o/clock, [presumably looking for golf balls as they were armed with carrier bags] to be mindfull of the dangers that may lurk in the bunkers etc there are items of machinery used to collect the balls, which a small child could seriously hurt themselves, also the groundsmen are currently spraying the grass with chemicals, so not the sort of enviroment I would let my child 'play' in

its nice to know that this is whats becoming of CDA.

While out last weekend I spent a lot of time at the range and on numerous occasions I noticed that people would appear with a basket (or bag) of range balls from between the penthouse apartments and head to the range to hit them.

Can only think that they are collecting the balls late at night so as to avoid paying for them and storing in their apartments for later use.

If people are taking golf balls and keeping them this is theft, if people are taking golf Balls and using them the next day on the range, then they are defrauding the golf range.

Either way both these actions are criminal and should not be tollerated. 

If people injur themselves on machinery while committing crime, I will not be sheding a tear!

Are these the same people who nick glasses and ice buckets from the clover?

Maybe Terry and Jill could do a crimewatch style podcast showing CCTV footage of these criminals and we can name and shame?

Out of 10.000 balls available no less then 6.000 missing.

Some people should not be allowed to have children !!!!!!!

Somehow something does need to be done about children's behaviour around CDA. I'm all for them having a good time but when we were over recently we saw, amongst other things:

- a group of teenage girls walk down the 12th fairway, through all the bunkers, across the green on their way to Al Kasar

- kids playing football on the 12th green

- cyclists on the course

- kids left alone in the clover with youngsters of about 5 or 6 throwing darts around - having to be stopped by bar staff because the parents were nowhere to be seen. The number of kids in the Clover turned half of it into a youth club to the point where we said we wouldn't bother going again...

- the guy in the golf shop said they lost a phenomenal numbers of range balls - it was 3000 but I can't remember if that was a week or a month !

- kids riding the wrong way down roads - we saw one nearly being hit by a car coming out of a car park

To be honest we thought some of the stuff we saw going on on the golf course was unbelievable.

We have teenage kids ourselves so know the challenges but even ours were surprised by some of the behaviour. Don't know what the answer is and, personally, we can avoid the problems but someone will get hurt eventually and it does the resort no favours.

 The average age of the perpetrators I would say was about 7 years, so I doubt if they are involved in the great ice bucket heist

but you never know, perhaps there is some shadowy svengali Fagin type person living on Naranjos paying his young recruits to rob at will ----- keep your eyes open

If kids have no guidance and discipline then they have no boundaries!

The parents are at best useless and at worst criminally negligent for their offspring!

Whoever STOLE 6000 golf balls - Good luck trying to squeeze them into your Ryanair hand luggage allowance!

My money is on PW who will have nicked them to use on another resort!!

I don't believe anyone knows the truth about the secret operation in PW HQ..!! We all pretend to know and have a view but no-one knows the real truth with them.

 I am sure you will be glad to hear that our comments are bearing some fruit! last night the same time as normal the Naranjos ball nickers decended on the driving rang , but this time Dad was with them directing the operation with a torch, well done Dad! a pillar of social and moral standards, the  bad news is you won't be able to use those balls because the driving range is closed, some one has nicked all the balls --- 

Even CDA can't escape the looters! 

Anybody know this criminal gang? Can we name and shame or post pics?

Public flogging in Al Katraz on Saturday, or Stocks and we can throw all the rotting veg left over from the market at these scrubbers.

I bet this guy will be the first to moan now the Driving Range has been closed.

we are over in a few weeks.  if it is closed, i'll bring my own practice balls over

Spoke to one of the groundsmen last night, he said thedriving range will be closed from today, however would not give an answer as to when it would be open again, will keep you posted on developments

This is becoming a joke. 

its bad enough that we dont have a club house, but now the range is getting closed.  we have been well and truely shafted by Polaris.

whoever is stealing the balls you should be ashamed of yourselfs, this is suppoed to be a place for everyone to enojy.

This is down to fellow owners acting lile morons, closing the facility, because they have stolen the practice golf balls.

Just selfish and stupid. Are they really that desperate to save a couple of Euros ?
