Have used them many times, no problems with there service and no long que. Are u out for Easter or are u booking for summer

I booked with Dickmanns after reading this thread and although we had no probs with actual hire and return. We have just been charged for damage to the vehicle without any notification.
There was no pre or post hire check of the vehicle... and we most certainly did not do any damage to it, in fact due to me having the flu we barely moved out of the resort!
The car itself was a bit banged up and old anyway but they obviously think they can tag a charge onto unsuspecting tourists.
Do not use them and if you do, do a thorough search of forums for an idea of what they are like...
I am very disgusted, we are original owners at Condado and have been coming out 3/4 times a year and using the likes of Auriga Crown and Goldcar and never had this sort of thing happen....

I too used dickmans for the first time at Easter and it went pretty well. However I have now had two charges to my credit card for €25 euros, have not got a clue what for and have my credit card company disputing. I did check the car and there were a few scratches but when I notified the attendant he said do not worry we only review any major damage. I will not use them again Tony

Well, we have notified our Credit Card company also.
In addition to this - I have written to doyouspain.com which is who we booked through... I am assuming they do not want their reputation damaged by these sorts of disputes with Dickmanns!

Hi all we used Dickmanns in Febuary for the first time picked up a batterd car pointed all faults out on paper work , kept copy ourselfs then in march found they had tacken 200 Euros on our credit card. We have sent all information off to Carjet who was our agent still waiting to hear from them . Will not use Dickmanns again looks like they are only a tinpot firm

well, I guess some of us are unlucky enough to have a bad experience... perhaps they are nicer to return customers?????

I got stung by them, they said I returned the car back late and charged me an extra day, no one was in their offices so I dropped the keys in the drop off box as sign said, I caught them out as the time they claimed the car came back was later than my flight time! never got my money back , cowboys, AVOID .........

Due to the positive reviews on this thread! We've decided to ask DYS to change our supplier.
Can anyone reccomend another supplier at alicante?

I've used Dickmans plenty of times out of Murcia and never a problem, got them again on 3rd June, i'll stick with them until they take the pi$$, as i do with any business ........ ''crosses fingers''
