We have just recently pruchased and have been given details of a solicitor by our agent. I was wondering if any of you guys could reccommend someone reliable you have used and a rough idea of the cost?

Their fees are 1% of the cost of the property before tax (ie 200,000 euros equates to 2,000 euros + VAT).

New Property Sales - Sonia Hernandez - Solicitor - She will complete on our property.

We did our Spanish wills & power of attorney with Cristina Munoz who is a partner / director & specialises in wills/ power of attorney

We have been very happy with their service

Costs on a quad  - 1122 euros - solicitors fees, 600 euros - notary fees & 450 euros land registry fees plus of course the 1% stamp duty. These are based on our final bill.

Thanks for the info. We were told its going to be about two years for completion.

It looks as though 1% (+VAT) inclusive of all the fees appears to be the ball park for both these solicitors suggested - I guess this is going to be pretty much the same across the board, unless anyone knows different.
