interesting post on debt recovery

hi all.

the first thing i should say is that this post is not related to our resort in any way , I just posted it by way of showing some info on methods of debt collection and time scales involved . I found it an interesting read hope you do too . If not then reading it will have helped you spend 5 minutes of your day and given you a reason to make that cup of coffee you know you deserve about now.

I wonder if ML chose the most expensive route to glean money from UK residents, has anyone any idea?

I hope they chose the European Law way as it sounds as if it is more cost effective & does get results

It has been a key tool in reducing our debtors significantly, is easy, no cost to the community and Steve Kettlewell and his staff are excellent...last week they found via tracing a long lost debtor in UK that owes us €8,000 and arrangements for payments are being put in place.

Spanish administrators don't like to use them as there is no involvement from the Spanish solicitor and of course no charges to levy .
