English TV

Hello, I am sure this has been asked before, BUT, I have trawled through the 'blogs' and cant find anything! - we are long term renting on Roda Golf and we have signed up at Teleast for internet- We are wondering if the English TV package is worth having from them too or is there another provider or, indeed, and cable TV installed at Roda ??

Unfortunately there is no cable TV and no option to Teleast for UK TV.

The package is ok - you get lots of channels and the quality of the picture is so much better than the for the 4 channels you get via the normal system.

Make you sure you get your discount. Residents on Roda get a small discount on both TV and Internet from them

If you have internet you should check a out android tv box you will receive all the UK free to view TV a all the latest movies from show box and the cloud for free.

If you want to go down the Internet TV route then just watch FilmON - link your laptop to your TV via an HDMi cable and bob's your uncle.

My advice would be don't bother with the expense of a TV box (anything up to €200) - they are not worth the cost and are technically illegal. Various boxes recently stopped working and had to be reprogrammed professionally at extra cost when the distributor of the software was threatened with a law suit.

And there are ways to watch BBC and ITV players on catch up as well - if you know how.

We have the Teleast tv package and have to say it is pretty good. Film on on is good but can be a pain to use. There have been lots of companies offering TV, but Teleast have been around for quite a while so are a fairly safe bet

Hi, I have just returned home from my first visit to Roda and have to say me and my family were so taken with the place we have put down a deposit and are in the process of buying an apartment.

During our stay in a rented apartment on phase 3 we were using the Teleast box to watch all our favourite English channels as well as the others included within the package the owners had.

It is my intention to get the same system installed into my apartment once completion is achieved, can anyone give me a rough idea of installation and monthly subscription costs please.

You can also get your internet through them as well as m,obile phone and land line if you need it.

No problem at all, there are lots of internet providers around, but we have found these to be reliable and they offer various oprions in relation to speed and price
