I managed to get a copy of this email which I think clears up the muddy water of the pool
Dear Water wings,
The infrastructure to the leisure club including the new pool has now been cancelled as per the voting rights of the residents of Phase 1.
The new Club facilities were to include a bar, cafeteria, restaurant, a gym, changing rooms, relaxation loungers and 18 hole golf course. Every member of the San Cayetano development would have been eligible to join - and there was to be no membership fee.
As you are no doubt aware January 2008 will see the start of Phase 8 . We would like to think that our social housing build project is not over ambitious at 1480 units on the land given up by the leisure committee. This township will allow the young homeless of the area to live in inexpensive living accommodations graciously subsidized by the residents of urbanization San Cayetano. The internet site ‘utube’ has already gathered a wide ranging application list from as far a field as Poland, the Czech Republic and some parts of the Ukraine.
As a consequence of the cancellation of the Leisure Facilities, I can further confirm that the issue of bus passes to the beach will be issued on a first come first served basis as we have a limited supply. Bus’s run on a regular timetable twice a week, with a current 34% punctuality recorded in the last six month sector. We are working with the bus company and gaining improvements weekly. We understand that they have a long way to go and the figures compare well with British Rail. Due to lower than expected demand, the cost has been set at 100euro each way. Which I’m sure you will agree is competitive. Residents will have to supply their own towels and flip-flops.
Regards
The Committee
