advice needed

Hi all,  we've just come back after spending our first week in hacienda we loved it, except the fact we couldnt understand why it was so dark in the evenings the pool lights sometimes came on if we were lucky will someone ( i was going to say shed some light) on this. Is  THISan everynight thing for the permanant residents. My wife was quite scared to walk out onto the grounds, thanks.

Also the paint work on the outside of the building looked horrendous we were very disapointed any news on that?

I BELIEVE THAT ONE OF THE MAIN PROBLEMS WITH THE LIGHTING HAS BEEN THAT SOMEONE HAS BEEN MESSING AROUND WITH THE PROGRAMMER.

IN A 'MINI MEETING' YESTERDAY WITH THE COMMUNITY ADMINISTRATORS - IT WAS DECIDED THAT SOME SORT OF LOCK WOULD HAVE TO BE PUT ON THE CUPBOARD WHERE THIS IS HOUSED - TO PREVENT ANYONE OTHER THAN THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE HAVING ACCESS TO THE PROGRAMMER.

THERE ARE 2 ONGOING ISSUES REGARDING THE FACADE OF THE BUILDINGS -

1 BEING THE STATE THE COMPLEX WAS LEFT IN AS EVEMARINA HANDED OVER, AND SECONDLY THE DIRTY WATER MARKS NOW BEING CAUSED BY THE WATER FEEDING DOWN THE VERY BADLY DESIGNED EXTERIOR DRAIN PIPES.

PACO OF THE ADMINISTRATORS OFFICE IS DEALING WITH BOTH OF THESE ISSUES, AND IS CURRENTLY MAKING ENQUIRIES REGARDING THE LEGALITIES OF EVEMARINA PUTTING RIGHT THE OBVIOUS DESIGN FAULT IN THE DRAIN PIPES.

 

SO - THINGS ARE UNDER WAY TO TRY & RESOLVE THESE ISSUES

Hi Jean and Eshaan,

Indeed the lights were a problem when we were out in March, they frequently went off in the evenings, but it is good to see that something is being done about it.  I too felt quiet uneasy walking across the complex in the evening - apart from the fact I couldnt see where I was walking. 

With regard to the drainpipes, I am overjoyed to hear that something is being looked at regarding this - we have bought this point up with our lawyers as well, so h opefully lots of us pushing may get something done.   During the recent heavy rains, water came pouring onto the back terrace from upstairs, and at the front door it came through past the kitchen entrance.  There were pools of water on the back terrace. 

I seriously hope that Evemarina are made to do something about this problem.  As you say Jean, they are indeed - VERY BADLY DESIGNED exterior drain pipes.  I know it doesn't normally rain that much in Spain - but hey, when it does!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can also imagine after the heavy rains recently, that the marks on the facades are even morse now, and look really bad.  Our feelings are indeed that this is the responsbility of the Evemarina.

Last point... Do we know when the meeting is going to be held regarding the Satellite installation????

Hola everyone, we have just joined the forum, thank you to the couple from England who told us about it last week. We are home in Ireland since Monday last, spent our first 5 days in our apartment , at long last, which we have bought with my sister and her husband. We are coming out again in July so we hope to meet some of you then. We were disappointed to see that the shops etc were not developed. However we were delighted with the apartment and the excellent job that Villapac did for us. Unlike other times when we have come to the Costa del Sol, we could'nt stay out of homeware shops! We will be interested to see the outcome of the debate on satellite.

Hola all - it was us (Darren and Tracey Rutherford - Muirfield Block) who met Mary and your /her husband last week.  Apologies for not introducing ourselves properly!   We have now been out to our apartment 3 times this year and must thank Jean for all her help - we don't know what we would've done without her assistance/guidance at times.

We should also thank Armando for his assistance. 

On our last visit we were happy to see that the grounds generally appear to be better maintained; we did have some difficulties accessing the gates on a few occasions and our keys didn't seem to have any effect! Not sure what we can do about this - it seemed to be a problem with the actual gate lock.  Have others faced the same?

We are looking forward to getting back out to Spain over the coming months and meeting more of the owners and also to hear the outcome of the next community meeting in finding solutions to some of the ongoing problems - satellite tv, paintwork of the exterior.
