Have a look at this Thread from EOS.  It`s about the NEW Airport at "Corvera"  The flight path could be coming over Balsicas according to this thread.

So we have a "Lovely Fly Over" that we were not told about and now we could end up over the flight path of the new airport....GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Whats next a new Channel Tunnel at the end of the street....

Firstpiece of good news is if there was a tunnel we wouldn't need to use the airport and fly!

Seriously Paul & I both think that, as you said, because San Javier is so close to us they can't go into it's air space, especially as it's military.   It also seems from the map on the link that it will follow the line of the mountains, so maybe not actually bothering us at all.  Check on Google Earth and see along with the map of possible proposed layout. 

We live about 10 miles from Bournemouth Airport and although there is a limited number of flights a day, we don't always hear them and they are high enough not to be too loud but we can still see if it's Thomsonfly blue!  Then it annoys us because we aren't on it!

Hi Jan.

I am usless with google earth. But I know up here in the SUNNY North East of England we have 2 airports, Newcastle, and Teeside. When we fly back to the UK the flight paths dont cross, for Newcastle you go over land to it and then via the coast, but with Teeside you come straight up the country, so I would think that the fact San javier is`nt closing this would be the case for the new airport up the road, Hopefully.

The last thing I want to do when I come over is "Plane Spotting"
