Hi , we're new to the site, but we've just got back from Murcia. The site is crawling with builders and the offices say they are slightly ahead of program and that all the jardines apartments should be completed by the end of 2008 along with the first course and the local town centre, thre months after that they expect to have the naranjos apartments and clubhouse finished but they don't give any specific dates. The main roads linking San Javier airport and the resort and the resort to Mazarron opened while we were out there, the airport run is about 40 mins and the beach is about 15mins but both are simple routes. Hope this helps and Polaris are definately not going bust.

Thanks for that info, I heard that 10 11 & 12 are built . Did you take any photos for the forum?

I do have some photos but im to stupid to figure out how to add them to a thread, but i'll keep trying. no gardens are complete yet but a lot off the apartments have the main structure of both floors in place.

This all looks and sounds really positive doesnt it?. Great to see the progress even if it looks like a crane convention! When we see photos we can never work out of they are taken from the main road or the side road that the agent was able to take us up. Not that it matters- its the over all progress that's important. Have people had the Polaris World ring binder with information cards that we received last week? Mostly the already available information - but a clear indication of further progress in maintaining contact.

Did you get the wine in the skin thing  - going to take it with me and fill with wine when on hols.

Does anyone know the correct term for it!! Seen the news about the free coach shuttle between resorts?

My next visit is September  hope someone going in August is getting pics - you know who you are!!

The photos were taken from the service road looking north towards the golf course.

If you get the chance to go to the end of the service road you'll find thousands of mature plants and trees ready to be planted, sounds boring but it all looks quite impressive.

Nothing boring about it- it all makes it real. We have only seen the actual site in March this year, when it was a huge expanse of rugged landscape with some work vehicles dotted around and a lot of sand.  We did get taken to the plant nursery so its excellent news that they are being stockpiled for planting already.

Dringman, we didnt get the 'wine in a skin thing' (I'm sure you're right and there is a technical name for this) which is a pity as we quite like our red wine.

Dringman, could it be:-

Googled and came up with this, it looked like a tear drop leather bag with shoulder strap- no bottle, you pour your wine into the bag direct.

first saw the site November 2005  when we started with this project. Bought  when it was launched the first time  and then had new contracts on re launch after all the planning problem. The trees etc were there then .

thanks for info re Bota   no wine with it though. We have to put  some in to make it swell  then its sealed.

Some how I prefer my wine in a glass.

 

re work - shouldn't get a lot done in August with hols etc. We are there end september so will report back then.

When they say 'apartments should be completed end of 2008'  does anyone know if that means we will have gone through the snagging process by then and organised utilities so they are ready for occupation. Or does it mean the build is finished but the snagging and utilties process still has to be gone through?

Hi All,

I went on an inspection trip last weekend ( 21/07 ) and managed to get a drive through of the development with a bus through of agents.  Work is progressing well, the footings are in for some of the Jardine apartments  the Naranjos area and the Jardine De Alhama is up to roof level.  I took a few pictures which you can view at http://www.flickr.com/photos/10301228@N06/sets/72157600975570520/show/

We're Los Jardines 7 so quite some distance away from the look of the plans. I suppose building could slow now as July and August holiday time is upon us. But its great to hear that Los Jardines are up to roof level.  I think someone earlier on  this thread thought Naranjos would only be 3 months behind.

Yes I guess three months sounds about right.  During the visit we were told that they are working 6 days a week with two shifts, the night shift clearing away and restocking materials for the following day shift.  Considering that they only started a month or so ago they have made amazing progress.  They have started on shaping the golf course and the whole place is awash with diggers and cranes.   I won't be out there again until next easter but look forward to seeing the progress that has been made.
