We are out on the 8th September for 2 weeks.  I'm sure we did the same last year expecting to stay in our apartment.?!?!

We have stayed a couple of times at Almadraba, and find it quite pleasant.  We haven't booked anywhere yet so were wondering where all you guys who keep coming out stay.  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

PD

We stayed at Hotel Diana Park, outside Estapona. Brilliant value, £141 for 4 nights b&b for both of us.

Hotel is basic but perfect as a base. The breakfasts were brilliant - buffet style, hot and cold, and as much as you want.

Nice pool and pool bar facility.

We have booked again as we are over in Sept as well but hoping to have been ensconced at Arenal but alas no, (not yet anyway)

The cost for the Sept stay (5 days/4 nights) is a remarkable £106 for BOTH of us. Don't know how they do it.

We booked it through www.alpharooms.com

We have stayed in the "Dona Luisa" on the seafront and it was clean and friendly.     The last time we came down in March, we stayed in an overpriced, tired and poorly furnished  apartment in the port.  We had no sleep for most of the week due to the noise of drunks, cars and scooters.

If we come down again before the apartment is ready, we may get adventurous and try the hostal in Manilva or possibly one of the small hostals in Sabinillas.

Last summer, we stayed in the "Hotel Amanhavis" in Benahavis.   Now that is something really special !!

We have stayed many times in several different apartments in 'Marinal real' the block next to the port if you are looking from the port out to sea it is on the right hand side.  We also have rented via Duquesa Estates.  The apartments do not over look the port, so you do not get the noise of the port.

We are also out in September but are staying in the Gran Hotel Elba, Estepona this time, as it is a special occasion.  We had also hoped that we would have been able to use our own apartment this time  shame, but who knows maybe next year!

Does anyone out there in September fancy making a date to meet up?? Send me a pm, we are out there 10 -17 September.

We were out in March and again end of June and both times stayed in hotel Duquessa Golf which is right beside where the apts are. The rooms are mini apartments with seperate bedroom and fridge and lovely bathroom also terrace or balcony. Walking distance to Sabinellas and the Port and also the apartments. Gave us a good feel for the place. Isabella is the duty manager there and makes you feel so welcome. Food just ok, only took breakfast and ate out the rest of the time but had a lovely time. Paid about 70 euros a night but that was out of season. They have also just opened a spa and of course they are on the golf course. So would fully recommend them.
