We have been ready to complete since 20th July, but the hold up has been with the mortage. We signed up with CFP back in January, and to date they have done absolutely NOTHING but ask for the same documents to be sent to them 3 TIMES!  Has anyone had a good experience with them??? We are now going with Cajamurcia bank, and hope to complete next week

We signed up with CFP in April & delivered everything they needed at the end of May (by hand).

We have kept them informed all along the way & they have known since the 2nd of June that we were due to complete from the 20th July onwards. They have constantly assured us that we will complete before we travel to Spain for 2 weeks holiday, next Friday - It is obviously not going to happen!!

I made an enquiry to www.mortgage4spain.com who advertise on this site & I got an Agreement in Principle within 24 hours - something that we had to fight CFP for & which took them 7 weeks to provide.

I faxed through all the required paperwork yesterday & should have the full offer by Tuesday. The person I am dealing with is Stefan & he is superb at getting back to me with answers to queries. Yesterday, he emailed twice to let me know that he had everything he needed & that he was going to submit the application to the Bank.

We have never had a proper meeting with CFP & I guess to some degree they don't have to fight for custom because it is handed to them by MRI. Another good reason to go independently from agents.

I am going to try and get some monies back as I was assured that this compnay for a one off payment actually was there for all monie issues and found them hard work

everything we ask they ask for so much paperwork for a quote ?

pulling my hair out with them and Mri actually so one can seem to give  a normal answer, we were going to mri re their aftersales i.e renting but to be honest for what we have seen will either not bother or do it on our own but is does not seem to bother them

We are in block 26 and have just returned home after completing on 6th August. It was very easy in the end. We had to meet the lawyer in Vera at the Notary's office. After a bit of hanging around we were given the keys and key mare paperwork and then went in front of the notary to sign. That was it!

We went straight to our new holiday home to have a look (we were staying somewhere else) and apart from a few faults it all looks good. The outside areas are still a building site and the outside paintwork probably needs repainting because it is very dirty. However we are delighted. Now we are hoping to go back in about 2 weeks time to fully equip it and clean it. It is pretty dirty and dusty inside.

My only complaint with Key Mare is that when we did our inspection visit in June we were asked to make a list of any faults we noticed and they would be put right by completion. A couple of them were done but the main one, which is a great big chunk has been chipped out of one of the marble stairs where something heavy must have been dropped, has not been replaced. That will have to be put on our snagging list.

Congratulations on your completion. So glad that it went so smoothly. Hopefully we will be in the same position by the end of the week.  Our lawyer has power of attorney, so will sign on our behalf. We are having the industrial clean done, so hopefully most of the dust and dirt will be gone. We hope to be going by Monday of next week (20th).
