Hi All,
I requested on purchase that no bidet or patterned kitchen tiles were to be fitted, however im now due to sign and find they have been fitted ( surprise surprise). and parador now state the issue is between taray and myself as its not on the contract, but i have a letter from parador stating at the time the builder had agreed not to fit them. arggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh... help!!!!!!!!!
i have now passed this to my solicitor in spain, but am very doubtfull on a positive outcome, I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem? it how best to resolve it.

Hi Tracey
I will be interested to see how you go with this, we are on Hacienda San Cayetano, and have asked for no BIDET to be fitted, I have this in writting from out agent that taray are aware of this. Our completion date is March 08.
Regards
Andy & Donna Walsh.

Hi Tracey
Taray will not change any of the specs so it wasn't worth asking. Something to do with the Habitacion Licence. Your lawyer will probably not be able to do anything. And it's not worth getting stressed about.
There are some things you have to accept in Spain and things are not done the same there as here. But then again it's their country and as we were once told by someone when they complained "if you don't like it, go back to the UK". What more can I say.

When we were out on one visit Ciara showed us around one of the semis which was nearly ready for compleion. Ours is on phase two and given that there was no show house available we were very eager to get inside one. Upstairs in the bathroom the bath had not been fitted and a shower was being installed instead so clearly this was a major change. Also on one of the back semis facing the railway line, my husband spotted through the open shutters, that the wall between the downstairs bedroom and the stairs had not been built thus making it an open plan living space rather than a bedroom. This house had not been completed on and we think has been bought by a spanish family.
We bought directly from and were old that no alterations could be made. Perhaps the spanish are simply more insistent and have more time to negotiate than we do on a flying visit.
Don't know whether any of this helps.

We also requested for the patio to be extended and was told no it couldn't. Seems like it's one rule for the spanish and one for us. But there's still not a lot we can do about it.
Comes back to the "if you don't like it......" regime.
Then again the treatment from Taray and Teresa and Anna has always been good.

We needed alterations to allow for wheelchair access, and considering the house was almost completed when we requested the changes we had no trouble, it was just a case of sending an e-mail with our request, and it was done no problem, (although we did have to pay a bit extra)
