hi folks

this is a request for a progress report on how the development is taking shape. any informatin or photos would be gratefully appreciated to us poor folk who are enjoying the deluge of wet weather at home.

Hi folks, development now looks as if it is almost finished.  Certainly all the houses seem to be - just bits and pieces getting done.  Street lighting on.  Bins on Calle Vizconde de Ros getting emptied.  All rubbish has been cleared from the streets and it is looking really nice.  They are now starting on the area beside the hall.  I have been told that it is to be a childrens´area as one of our Spanish neighbours works for the enterprise company who has the contract for it.  Not sure about in front of our house as yet.  Just waiting.............

Im sure you know the pool is open and it is lovely.  So all in all things coming together.  Sorry can´t provide photos - technology beyond me I´m afraid.

Weather here scorching which is bringing loads of flies and mozzies most of whom are feasting on me

Hi All

We have been told that the letters from Taray will either shortly be or are on their way for the rest of us poor souls who continue to suffer in the rain!.  Never though this day would come!

Looking forward to meeting people in Sept when we finally get out there.

So soon we will not have to get by with photos on the forum anymore.

The letters are telling us that the house is now finished and finances can be sorted.

how is the bridge / overpass coming along?

Hi All, I just came back on Sunday and when I left the flyover/bridge was complete, minor finishing works were going on around the sides, but what they have done is created a monoblock walkway around and underneath the flyover which leads you nicely round to the train station from Torre Alcantara. Landscaping was almost complete. Street lights are now on in the development, and the flyover looks really pretty good to be honest. I expect it will open within a few days, maybe the end of this week.....

thanks for that i knew you were heading out for a month but time seems to have gone by so quickly. We have still not heard anything from Medsea even though I have e-mailed. Taray did say they expected to be finished work in mid august and and as contracted said completed by 30/8/07 thay said it will be ready for completion in september. looks as if we are not going to make the window for completion during 4/9/07 to 14/9/07. will just have to have another holiday and wait for manana.

Hi Vincent, just as a follow on from the post by Russell bridge is now open.  Opened yesterday and I think its excellent, saves us from doing the full circle to get into our development and they have finished it off nicely.  Weather at the moment is hitting highs of 34-38 I believe and very, very hot.  I´m surprised your house won´t be finished by the time you are coming over because it certainly looks finished - mind you that´s from an untrained eye!  I have been speaking to people who are moving in along our street and they were told by Parador that they couldn´t get in and the couple went to Taray direct and were told that was nonsense and that their house was ready for occupation.  I wonder if it might be worth your while phoning Taray direct.  Anyway better get off now, catch some more rays!  Hope weather not too bad where you are and hopefully will see you when you are over in September.

thanks for the information. We got our letter yesterday from Medsea to say that the house is ready but they are waiting on the builder, townhall and solicitor to get the paper work. With the august holidays approaching this may be the delay. Sitting looking out at angry clouds overhead. Thankfully we are more fortunate than the poor folk in england who have been subject to floods.

look forward to seeing the development in september and hopefully moving in.

Has there been any more progress with the community aerial?

Just received our letter from Taray today telling us the house will be ready from 13th August , and to organise with our solicitor the paperwork etc. Getting close now.

did you buy direct from Taray? I have had a reply from Taray saying they are ready to complete but Medsea say they are waiting on paperwork. Have e-mailed solicitor to try and move things on.

lok forward to meeting you in september and by the looks of it it wil be at your home. It will be very frustrating to see the house , do the snagging but not to take posession

we havwe now got our letter from taray saying we can access the house from 13th august as well. it is now down to solicitors and medsea to move things along

Our notary date is 3 Sept at last!

Taray have also said that they will do the elec & water for us for €300, is that what they have offered others? Please let us know.

Busy time for us as we are also moving here at the end of August!

Yes we are buying directly from Taray, if they are going to get the water & electric connected does this mean that Taray have the LFO ?  or do we sign regardless???  someone please enlighten me.

Have now been told by our lawyer that €300 is good, somepeople have had to pay (on other developments with our lawyer) €500 and one even had €900.  So we've been told to take it.
