Hi
We are due to complete on our property in 2-3 weeks and we personally can't wait to get over there and start enjoying our home in Spain. We've been reading posts on this site for over a month now and can't believe how many negatives there are!! We realise everything isn't going to be perfect but hey it isn't here either! I'm sure we'll have quibbles but we're also sure thepositives will out weigh the negatives?
Anyway we look forward to meeting everybody in October

Hi Sherry & Graeme
Welcome to the forum , we are just home from a wonderful 31/2 weeks in Balcisas, we signed, furnished the house, worked like trojans for the first week then relaxed for the rest of the time, we thankfully had no hitches, everybody we met was lovely. We cant wait to go back at Christmas. No quibbles here.
Hope everything goes as well for you as it did for us, we loved everyminute of it, we are now back in rainsoaked Dublin, putting on the raincoat instead of the sunscreen, so yes the positives will indeed outweigh to negatives.

hi sherry & graeme
we completed in september at the same time as julie & christy while it was hard work we enjoyed it and the company was good much better to enjoy a warm climate and good company than wet ireland having said that it has been sunny since the start of october. WE ARE BACK OVER FROM 25TH OCTOBER FOR A WEEK SO IF YOU ARE COMPLETING DURING THAT TIME GIVE US A SHOUT AND INTRODUCE YOURSELVES. our house is 56 calle jose sanchez lozano.
hasta luego

Hi Vincent and Brona
Like Sherry and Graeme, Julie and Christy we were over there most of July and my sister has just returned from a 2 week holiday. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are thrilled at the house, the positives certainly do outweight the negatives. The people we met over there were extremely friendly, and we are all going out for Christmas and New Year (which I bet will be a damn site better than here)!!! I also have 3 young kids who can't wait to go back.
The town, local pubs, supermarket are great, especially the local fish shop (you must try it)!
Stay positive and you'll thoroughly enjoy yourselves.
Hope to meet you sometime.

Sherry & Graeme,
We're just back from our 6th break in Balsicas since moving in last Oct/Nov and there are very few negatives about the experience. There are so many positives:
- our house is fantastic
- the development is looking good - the pool is great
- the neighbours are wonderful
- the villagers are very friendly/helpful, although I would like to see the development being more integrated into village life
- there are great places within easy reach to visit - Martha & I have done Madrid, Seville, Granada and Valencia already - lots more planned
- the beaches, towns and cities - Murcia, Cartagena, La Manga, Mazarron
- etc. etc.
We're beginning to see better services being made available - better restaurants, cafes, shopping etc.
However, public transport is a bit limited and spanish town planning isn't particularly to our liking. What we have to remember though is that we are the foreigners and we have to accept the way that the natives do things - its their country! I personally think its all part of the attraction of buying and living there - vive la difference!!
I'm sure it'll be a wholly positive experience for you. We can't wait 'til our next visit!
Hasta Luego!
