Spanish property problems deepen

GrupoMasa have informed our estate agents that Iberdrola will be connecting electricity today to M14 and M15.

If anyone is on site today, and sees any sign of this activity, can they please post here to let us know it's not just another fairytale.

When we were out last our agent told us the same but she also said that as Monday is a Fiesta she was of the opinion that they will not start untill tuesday 30th.

June and Roy who are living on M15 will let me know iwhen the electricity meters are fitted, I will post as soon as I know.

Just spoke to the Masa office at SG & there is no electricty there today (26th) & he said he didn´t know when.

Do you know if anyone will be working on site on Monday as it's a Fiesta?  We had intended to do our snagging then,  with completion on Wednesday, but without electricity and Habitation Certificate we have now put off completion indefinitely, but still want to visit site and hopefully find someone from GM to speak to.

Just spoke to June and Roy living on M15 and they told me that MASA have told them that the necessary paperwork was signed yesterday between MASA and Iberdrola and that they have been told that it will be about a week before meters are fitted.

Visited SG on Monday.   Haven´t been there for over a year and was very pleased with what I saw.  Site really starting to look good.  Masa rep in site office said they had got the Habitation Certificate (little liar), but not only was the site without electricity today they were also without water.  Site rep said he couldn´t say whether it would be days, weeks or months before electricity would be connected.

Commercial centre near M14 will have an Indian restaurant and tapas bar, bank and supermarket.  All looking good.  Swimming pool near M11 well underway.

Roads look nice with all the palm trees, but still quite a lot of work to do on pavements etc.

Heard from another estate agent on site that the whole site should be finished by 2011.

Luckily there were some workmen working on our house, M14.32, so we were able to get in and have a look as the Masa rep wouldn´t let us.  Very pleased with what I saw.  Basic furniture package seems more than adequate.

THANKS FOR THE UP-DATE..WAS THE PALM TREE'S JUST ON THE MAIN ENTRANCE ROAD, OR ARE THEY NOW PLANTING AROUND THE HOUSING AREAS AS WELL...

I know the water has been off since last Friday did they say when they would turn it on again.

The palm trees were just on the main entrance road, but holes have been dug along the residential roads.

No idea when water is being reconnected!

Also, they are putting in cycle paths around the development and hotel should be started next year.

Will try and upload photos when I get home at the weekend.
