Photos of MOJON HILLS

Hello again,

We have just got back from a great trip to Spain so as promised, lots of photo's are going to be uploaded.  We took a walk up the hill behind the development to get a good views of everything including the phase five site.  I tried to get shots of all phases so if yours isn't on the first upload be patient and hopefully something relevent will be forthcoming.

Just uploaded the second lot of pics including one of the desalination plant.  It really won't effect many buyers at all, if any.  I think the pumping station by the Aqua-marina apartments is more of a blight as everyone sees it on the way in but again, once you are in your apartment, it's not an issue (unless you have bought on the Aquamarina site...).

Feel free to ask about anything.  With the help of good people like Paul from In-The-Sun and Lyndsay from Atlantia, we know a lot more than we did a month ago.

Thanks so much for the pics. We are going out on the 24th but still eagerly scrutinising them - nice to have an idea what to expect! We think we can see our apt in one of your pics, but still worried about the villas they have put in front of Phase 2, which were not confirmed when we bought, and anyway were supposed to be rather further down the hill than I think they are appearing - do you have an opinion on those?

Sorry I don't know anything about these villas.  Still, you haven't got long to wait now till you see it all for yourself.  You should also have better weather than us.  We have been out twice in April now and both times it has rained...

Just got back from a very wet and cold fortnight in Spain.  Keith, did we meet in Puerto Mobel furniture shop, and if so, did you get sorted?  Having spoken to Lyndsay at Atlantia (she is VERY helpful), we have managed to obtain a little more information on Phase 2.  They are now hoping to release it by the end of the year!!!  Also she informed us that there is a delay on Phase Five, something to do with the elections in May. 

We had a trip up to the Sierra Nevada (PradoLlano) to check out the skiing options.  We couldn't believe how busy it was, still plenty of snow around, our children had a snowball fight (12th April).  If I had realised what the weather was going to be like, we would have taken our ski's and gone there for a week.

We may well have met in the furniture store!  We went with Lyndsay in her car and did you follow behind from Atlantia's office in town?

We have got sorted with furniture but not with Puertomobel.  We decided to pick and choose in another store that was recommended by our bank manager.  I can't lay my hands on the details at the moment but I will post them on here when life is less hectic.  The assistant was Anna and she was fantastic.  Very flexible with her prices and her range of furniture was, in my opinion, leagues ahead of puertomobel.  And, although she is from belgium, her English is excellent so nothing is lost in translation.

Hi Keith,

Yes we did follow you with Lyndsay.  We too were not overall impressed with Puerto Mobel and decided against their options.  Before travelling out to Spain, we visited Manchester and a company called Villa Pac (they are on Eye on Spain).  Their quality of furniture was excellent, and we are going back to see them on Thursday.  If you manage to obtain the details on the other store, it would be greatly appreciated if you could forward them.

We are going out next Tuesday (24th) - can any of you recent visitors recommend recently tried restaurants, as I guess one or two things have changed since we were last in the area in Nov 05!

I have uploaded some photos taken on 8th Feb, Fase 2 seems to be progressing well, all the properties are locked up with lots of builder activity around the pool areas.

Phase 3 is progressing with lots of builders vans there dailey and the roads, gardens  being worked on

There are two potential negatives

1. Fase 5 (on the hill above the other fases)  is being excavated, they are using uo to 7 diggers, this starts at 8am and finished at 9am (2pm on Sat and no Sunday work) fairly noisey also lots of dust from general road work. Not good if you have a hangover !!!

Atlantia say this will go on until end of march but as usual did not mention which year. The building work could be a negative to those considering letting

2. Snagging is reported to the sales office but organised by the site forman and it would appear that, to him, everything else is more important, my only advice is that you be persistant. To be fair we did not have many defects on fase 1

The good news is that fase 4 (between fase 1 Villa and fase 2 appartments) appears to have been cancelled altogether with prosepective purchasers getting monies refunded or transferred to fase 5.
