Hi everyone, it's Jim - from block 3. Liz & I are just back from Spain.
When we arrived there, there were notices regarding a residents' meeting with the administrator, on the front doors of all blocks. These were set for different dates for each block. John Connolly (from block 4) & I went to see the administrator, who is based in Dolores. His name is Jose Luis Garcia Martinez. This is the administrator whom the builder has nominated to start our community.
We spoke at great length and were able to ascertain that the builder has not given the addresses of the owners', only their names & telephone numbers of some. He has tried to contact as many as possible, but some of the phone mumbers were inaccurate and he was thus unsuccessful.
In order to legalise the community, there was a meeting held on the 19th of November, where the residents from blocks 3&4, along with some from blocks 1&2 who were over, attended. In attendance were 5 residents from block 3; 3 from block 4; & a couple from blocks 1&2.
The outcome of the meeting:
For block 1, Phil was nominated President.
For block 2, Kevin was nominated President.
For block 3, I was nominated President. (inc. Pool area & communal solarium, as this is shared with 71 owners)
For block 4, Les was nominated President.
For block 5, nobody was in attendance.
The aministrator's fee is 175 euros per block, per month. The contracts for cleaning, lift maintainance & swimming pool have still to be tendered for. There is also a cost of 300 euros per block to legalise the community. The community charge for the swimming pool area will be shared between the 71 appartments, from blocks 3, 4 & 5. Anyone wishing to discuss this further is welcome contact me by phone 01294471057.
The administrator has set a date for another meeting, for the residents of blocks 3, 4 & 5, which is to be held on the 14th of December at 11am. The meeting will take place at the Lifamaya Bar (I'm unsure of the spelling!), to the right of the Liffey Bar rear.
Regards to all the owners in Mar y Sol,
Jim.
