We have just received notification of a further delay from our agent. We are R6 phase 1 which has a revised completion date of December 2008!  This is a further seven months.

Has anyone else  heard anything?

Hello,

we bought on row 8 phase 1,I called patricia at the office today and she said completion would be dec 2008 to jan 2009.the goal posts keep moving,but there dos'nt seem to be much we  can do about it.Still think its a great area and will coinside nicely with the golf course and other developments,but will have to wait a bit longer.

Hello,

              We are buying on phase X , plot 135. I have just received an email off Patricia in site office confirming in her words "We hope that it is between December and March 2009" for habitation licence. However, our completion date was always Dec. 2008, but does this mean the whole developement gets the habitation licence at the same time? I would find this strange, as she has also sent me a photo of the site (phase 1) which look nearly complete to me. ( I have posted the photo on this site) Look fwd to completion though, and meeting you all.

Hi All

I visited the site about 3 weeks ago and Patricia told me completion would be "between June and December but probably November or December" her words.

This by the way is for phase 8. I note that subsequently phase 8 is moved to December/January so I dont know what to believe and obviously trying to get an answer from someone higher up doesn't work either as I have tried on a number of occasions but never received a reply.

As for habitation licenses Patricia told me the licenses for phases 1 to 3 could take 3 or 4 months after completion however subsequent phases "shouldn't take as long"

Nevertheless I think it's safe to assume that even after completion we will all be waiting some months before we can take possession. Looks like summer of 2009 if we all live that long!

An e-mail received by us today from our Solicitor.

Please see attached an email from Peinsa detailing the definitive dates for completion (signing of title deeds) of the whole site.  R2 Phase I is scheduled for June 2008.  At this point they will have the Licence of 1st Occupation.

R-2 fase I,  Junio 2008
R-2 fase II, octubre 2008
R-2 fase III, junio 2008

noviembre 2008
R-4 fase II, de la 45 a la 71 para noviembre 2008, y de la 72 a la 98
para diciembre 08
R-5 fase I, febrero 2009

Whilst it is good to have some dates, we for one are not happy.  How can a completion date run over so much!! 

Yesterday we asked our agent to look into it, will be interesting to see what reply they come back with in comparison.

If you also compare the euro exchange rate now to when we should have been able to complete the properties are becoming more expensive in that the rate is currently going against us.

Don't know how the rest of you feel but as we haven't been able to get firm enough dates, it is also difficult to reserve euro's when the exchange price has been reasonable.
