house swap

Just arrived back after a 2 week break in Benalmadena.Went to have a few looks around Arenal Golf .and the most noticeble amount of change is the amount of dogs fowling the roads.I spent more time looking down at the pavement trying to miss it than looking at the complex. which Still looks a long way from finiished.Especially the facilities like golf course and club house.The clubhouse does not seem to have changed from the last time I viewed in Nov 2006.

Back to Dog poo.Is there any laws in Spain about this problem..As it is quiet a put of..If play areas pool areas and golf course get as affected as the pavements and roadway it will be downright disgraceful.

There are laws similar to those in England which are intended to stop people letting their dogs foul the streets etc but the Spanish do not seem concerned about this as they all seem to accept this along with the noise they cause (particularly the small dogs). The best action to take is to "denounce" the owner which will bring a recordable police visit and should get them a warning. If this persists and further warnings follow then it's possible the owner may decide to keep the dog in or pick it up as happens generally over here. Judging by the number of dogs likely to be on Arenal you may have your work cut out though.
