Did you know that the management compnay has direct ties to key mare - they even sell their properties (and theirs alone)!! that is illegal in the UK - is it iin spain?

Seasun House also rent out a great number of properties on numerous other developments, not all of them have KeyMare connections.

Maybe we should give them the opportunity to explain themselves before we go jumping to any conclusions. It is very easy to read things into situations when you are not made aware of all of the facts. Or even when you choose to ignore them!

I agree Craig.

Until such time as someone asks Seasun House/Lois whose employ are they in? We have to be careful what we say.

I certain amount of caution at this moment in time may be prudent.

I have emailed Luis & have asked him some direct questions about the involvement between Seasun & Key Mare. Luis has just emailed me back & has offered to discuss this issue & answer my questions, by telephone on Monday.

He still hasn't got a date for the community meeting.

So, if anyone has any questions they specifically want me to ask, please PM me & I will see what I can do.

I think it is a positive indication that Luis is prepared to discuss our concerns, although I appreciate that any answers will be from Seasun's point of view.

I will post an update on the forum on Monday evening.

Hi Everyone

I have a much quicker update than I expected as I have just had a call from Luis.

There is a letter on its way to everyone, to your apartment address, your UK addres & by email. This letter is an update on where Seasun are at the moment & unfortunately the date of teh community meeting is still not confirmed.

Key Mare are working to 15th February still but Luis is aware that there are many people who will have to make travel arrangements & he thinks it may be slightly later than this.

Seasun have no direct connection with Key Mare, other than a professional relationship. Seasun is also an estate agency & they do advertise KM properties but also others from local developers. They also have KM properties in their window which are for sale by owners of the property.

Luis considers that he has a good working relationship with KM, although he is clearly keen for things to move forwarda as much as we are.

There are currently 90 properties unsold on the development.

The number of completions taking place has increased & there are still some to go through but KM do not now have such a large % of the vote, although with 90 unsold, it is still substantial.

Hello,

Have just recieved the e-mail, it is very informative and well writen and provides lots of answers.

I am in favour of Seasun and more than willing to support them in supprting us. With ref to the negative comments below, I some time ago followed the debacle that Salinas and AA Hills had with there respective management companies through the Viva-Almeria website. I was relieved when Thalassa was 'awarded' (?)  to Seasun. I would urge poeple to read that if you are currently concerned !

No problem. I didn't realise we are neighbours! We are in block 28.

Could you do me a favour please? If I PM you my email could you forward a copy on to me?

I got an email from Seasun but it was blank & had no attachments. (If anyone has had the same problem, I now have a word document version - thanks to Gary, PM me & I will forward a copy if necessary>)

Also, for anyone who is not yet on Andrew Rampton's email list, I am collating questions that have arisen as a result of the Seasun letter. I am asking for any questions to be PM'd to me by 5pm on Wednesday 16th January & I will then forward to Seasun & feedback the answers.

I have also had some information from someone else who is aware of how the administrator/community side of things works in Spain - thought it would be useful to get an insight from someone other than Seasun.

This is their response -  

The situation is that KM has to put an administrator in to run the developement until a comunidad is set up. There is no problem or conflict as all companies like Seasun don't  just sell or just rent or just run developements. They do everything as   there is'nt enough work in this area to do only one thing. A good relationship with the builder is essential to get things working properly.

However the big, big problem for KM  (financially) and Seasun is the number of people who  have'nt completed yet and may never do!!! Until everyone who has bought  completes, then a meeting cannot be held as those who have'nt completed will not be given the chance to have their say.
