Hi - I have just emailed my agent (Villacashback) saying that the work seems to be progressing quicker than I had expected on the Jardines (after seeing the showhome pics etc).  I asked if they had any idea on the first entry dates and she emailed me back straight away saying that PW will be starting to contact us in MAY to give us the first dates.  OMG - I'd better stop spending!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hola

I phoned PW in Murcia this evening to ask about handover dates.  The lady confirmed that the properties at Jardines were pretty much complete but said that most of the hold up from now and on would be when they request habitation certificates from the Town Hall as each and every property has to be inspected by officials and the schedule during this time is, thus, out of their hands.  She did, however, tell me that within the next fortnight or so their would be 3 showflats for public viewing.  I asked her what facilities would be available in the Foros area when the first handovers took place and she said - in not as many words - not much.  Apparently the supermarket/bar/restaurant facilities open at least a month after the first handover.  I also asked about the golf facilities.  She said they were still scheduled for 2009!!!!!!!  I did, of course, point out that we hadn't a cat in hells chance of letting our properties until a course came on the scene to which she replied "many people come to Murcia who do not golf"  - which I have not doubt but can someone tell me how many of them would opt to stay out in the sticks with no shop or pub????  My own property is in Jardines 12  - now 13 - which she said will be one of the first to be handed over.  She did say that ALL of the properties will be handed over "during the second half of 2008" Hope this is of interest to everyone.  PS Would be delighted to hear from any one else on J12/13.

Many Thanks for the update.

Sorry not on Jardin 12/13 but down on 5.

I had an email from my agent today saying that she had been in touch with Polaris, she had been given similar information re the May contact but had not received any details about the facilities.

 Hi everyone,

Just found this site after trying to find photos of the new show home. I have reserved in Jardiin 12 but now I'm hearing the numbers have changed. I'm going across to Murcia next week for a couple of weeks to get a look at the site and hopefully the show home and hopefully my apartment. so I will try and post some photos  when I get back. Can't wait to get the keys.  This forum has helped my a lot, I wasn't expecting to hear anything about entry until the beginning of next year.

Paul.

Hi All,

We are in Jardine 3 with an expected completion date of Spring 2009. We went out to the site last October & it seems to be progressing at a considerable pace!! Does anyone know if it will be feasible to get the apartment plumbed & ready for a washing machine??? Pictures posted this year of what looks like a show flat would indicate that space is tight....but we are keen to squeeze one in if at all possible. We are going out again in March & will feed back on how things are progressing.

From the appartments I saw at La Torre all flats WILL have plumbing for a washing machine but this will be located on the balcony or terrace as apparently that is the norm - other guys may be able to confirm this !

Cheers Mark, I saw the apartments in La Torre & they were all planned to be plumbed for a washing machine. My concern is that the Jardines have no such plans & I am hoping that you can either 1) sacrifice some cupboard space in the kitchen or 2) have a small utility area on the roof terrace built after completion to house the unit. My wife is determined to do zero hand washing so I am desperate to find out!!

We got the architects plans for the 2 bedroom apartment sent to us from Polaris world. If my translation is correct, they clearly show that there are spaces for a washing machine and tumble drier under the breakfast bar. Hope this helps

Yep, I got the same plans and there is also plumbing/space for a dishwasher under the sink (which you can see in the showhouse pictures as well)

In all the times I had looked at the interior plans I'd missed that indicator for a dishwasher under the sink.
My other half keeps saying 'what on earth would you want a dishwasher for over there?'  (he thinks the tooth fairy does the dishes) But I have one here and  I do want one and if there is a huge gap under the worktop all the better. I saw that there is one in the show apartments but thought that was a bit like seeing the radiators- just for show. I wonder how the releases will work- from either end inwards or Jardine by Jardine?

I'm guessing they will do it Jardine by Jardine. I think when I was over the main focus was up at the top (Jardine 12) and Jardine 1 was much further behind, either that or they'll finish the Jardines that are already sold out to get their money in as quickly as possible!

Still thinking about the dishwasher, I have one at home as well but not sure I'll have enough dishes in the apartment initially to justify one

Heaven GailA I mustn't let my husband see your comment about the dishes! Though I suspect you are right. We're still unsure about renting and its often a desirable item to have for rentee's. As ever this will all come down to costs and as my husband was saying if they come to us before December it might be a double lilo and two garden chairs for a while and forget about IKEA!

I know exactly what you mean. I'm not renting out and was expecting  completion next year, plus with the Euro rate so bad at the moment I think it will be a sleeping bag for me and plastic plates!
