HI EVERYONE MY FIRST POSTING.

i UNDERSTAND THAT PW WAS FEATURED ON WATCHDOG IN NOVEMBER 2007, BUT I HAVE FEW DETAILS OTHER THAN PEOPLE WERE TRYING TO GET BACK MONEY BACK WHEN PW WAS NOT COMPLETING ON TIME. DID ANYBODY SEE THE PROGRAM OR GOT ANY OTHER DETAILS.

It's basically about a few people who bought with Polaris then tried to get their money back by saying the property was not ready by the agreed date in the contract. There was also a case where someone's property was delayed and when they went out to see it they weren't happy because the rest of the site and facilities weren't all complete at the same time.

It's amazing how programmes like watchdog always show the negative side and never once interviewed the hundreds of people at Mar Menor & La Torre who are perfectly happy with their purchase.

In my opinion you can't expect everything to be ready from the start, it will be a building site for a number of years and facilities will gradually appear. It will be nice to see different things everytime you go out. I suppose it depends what you want from the resort, if your happy waiting and buying cheaper off plan then fair enough, if your buying to rent out straight away then you'll want the facilities asap. We've bought new houses in England and it's never totally finished for a few years.

You can read on other forums how watchdog had been trying to contact people but refused as they are now happy with their purchase after having initial teething problems.

I'm sure everyone will have their own opinion.

Hi everyone,

We have use of my sister in law's apt in Villamartin where she bought off plan some 5 years ago. When we first went we were suprised by the building work still going on and the discomfort of sand etc blowing everywhere.

We now go three times a year and it is a very nice place to visit and the whole finished project is very good.

The point I am making is that give new developments time to mature and work to continue knowing that an off plan purchase is a long term investment and in the end we will all be happy

We are not renting apt and will only let family and close friends stay, I can understand the frustrations of people who bought to rent but surely they were aware that these places need time to develop and renting  straight away is not a good option as future renters may be put off by bad feedback.

I am afraid that the cheaper option of off plan properties and early renting do not go hand in hand, however I wish all buyers at Condado the best of luck in whatever they intend doing and I am positive enough to say we will have an otstanding resort for eveyone in time.
