Hi everyone.

We have just bought in Milos (521) this week as we were over looking at another property to replace our Arenal Duquesa apartment which we have cancelled.

I have to say Coto Real has been coming on leaps and bounds over the last year  or so, and we are very happy with our purchase.

The "boulavard" as you enter the development will be stunning in a few years time when all the palm trees mature.

Many thanks to Maureen & Denis (Leema) for their enthusiasm and recommendation for the development - it was this that got it added to our Viewing List in the first place.

Looking forward to getting involved and supporting The Dream.

Do you yet have your own private Community Website that I can access ? I understand AEA are the management company  - if anyone has an address or contact details for them or our President I would be much obliged.

Will

Hi Will

Looking forward to meeting you both, not long now before we get our keys, then maybe we can get together when we start our long weekends visiting Coto Real.

Glad you both liked it, I think it's one of the best around and the views are stunning.

Hope you both have many happy times out there.

Hi Maureen & Dennis

We are scheduled to complete Mar 31, and had already pre-booked for coming back over in May 22-29

Lots to do and happen between Mar 31 and May 21 - can't wait.

We have been on the site really regularly this week, and the guys working there are going hammers and tongs. There must be at least a dozen of them flat out  anytime we have been there

There is one guy on a "BobCat" who has turned it into an art form.

As I said on another post, all the heavy lifting is finished - the squad are finishing off the skimming and painting on the rear blocks, and finishing off the block paving.

Chris from RYF reckons everything finished by Summer 08, then the roads can be re-surfaced, and security gates installed (presumeably at the entrance) and hey presto.....

Ops, forgot, where all the huts are at the entrance, he said that was turning into a mini commercial, and I think he mentioned gym etc. Don't quote me on that as after a while you get overload.

When are you completing, and more important, when are you next over ?

Will

We are next over the last week in Feb to complete, our lawyer said we can complete anytime now, all the paper work is being done for the mortgage so as soon as thats done we will be there, so hopefully the end of Feb.

We will be out again in April, my son is getting married in Santiistaban, this is a town which is right in the middle between Madrid and Malaga,  we are coming out on 10th April and going straight  up there, then back down on 14th to stay in our apartment until 20th April, can't wait for this wedding as they have been together ten years now and we thought it would never happen.  There is no one in the town who speaks English and non of us speaks Spanish, we were there last year for her brothers wedding and had a fantastic time as their weddings are so different from ours.

We will be out for lots of long weekends so will bump into you at some point, really happy for you both, you will love it there, we have furniture express seeing to our furniture for us and we just have to let them know the date we complete and they will do the rest.

We were told the same about a little shopping complex on the corner were the huts on, but will believe it when we see it.

keep in touch.

Feb sounds like a bit of stress, but April sounds a hoot !

(I don't think the language will be a barrier !)

We complete on Mar 31 - solicitor has Power of Attorney, so probably better if we keep away.

We are both Control Freaks (in totally different ways) and had originally scheduled all furniture installations to be completed before we come over.

You picture the scene, new apartment, open the door and enter for the first time, and everything perfect the way you want it to be.

Yeah, right, don't think so. Only in the movies.

I can imagine Marianne taking it all in in a glance, then "that picture is hung 2 cm too much to the left, and I don't like the look of.........." Gimee peace.

We have changed everything round so that nothing gets delivered and installed until we are actually there........

That means we are booking our first two nights in our usual hotel, but heck, we love all this.

Still sure you want to meet up ?

Will

Yes looking forward to meeting up, you both sound like me and Dennis.

Will speak to you later as we are off out to a burns night for some neeps and haggis, and alcohol.

Very annoyed at the new price list as we didn't get anything off.

Hi Maureen & Dennis

It's a shame re the price list - it's a matter of timing. Even ours just came up from last week and didn't make any list at all.

Saying that, I know you are feeling  sore over it, we would be too, but what can you do ? We had exactly the same problem with Arenal but luckily we were able to cancel.

If you've hassled RosYFalcon and did all that, then you still have a great buy.................

The development will look fantastic when it's finished, unbeatable views over the Port and Med, lovely large apartments with marble and granite everywhere you look, garage and storage room, sat tv, top drawer spec - exactly the same reasons why everybody bought in the first place regardless of the price. Even the lift has granite.

In a couple of years we will all be driving down that lovely boulevard with all those fabulous palm trees with the nice street ligthting,  then sitting on our terrace, drink in hand, evening sun coming down, that fantastic view of the Med, and then think to ourselves, "where did it all go wrong ?"

I don't think so - prices are always always on a cycle, and in a few years time prices will all be on the up again, they always do, and Coto Real will then gain more than most because it's a classy development finished to the highest spec.. All it has cost anyone on Coto Real who have bought at the proper price  (and let's face it, that just about 99% of everyone) is a couple of years growth.

Will

Hi,

It's lovely to hear to some optimistic correspondence for a change! I completed on my apartment in Khios in May 2007. I have visited on 6 or 7 occasions and I love it! The apartments are fantastic and it's only a stroll down to the port or the town for some great restaurants. Times are difficult at the moment, but I firmly belive that in a few years when evreything has settled down it will prove to be a great buy. I hope to move out permanently in a few years and I can't wait!

Pat

Hi Pat

Great to hear from you and hope you will post regularly and contribute to the community. It's a bit quiet here to date.

I'm just new to this board although I have been a regular on the Arenal Duquesa one which was pretty active.

I hope this one gains momentum between all us owners.

Yes, the development is great, and by the time all this current doom and gloom is but a memory, it will be very nice and mature.

Can't wait to move in - we are next over in May 08 for a week.

Hi Pat

It's lovely to have you contribute to the site, as you can see there isn't many of us, we have an apartment on phase two, Tasos and should be getting the keys in a couple of weeks, we stayed in Khios in November and there was only one other apartment occupied, but it was really nice, we wanted to get a feel of the place before we moved in.

Have you had a look at the photos I put on the site, I'll put more on when we come out at the end of February.

I was a bit concerned about the road being shut off at the bottom, but then found all the restaurants and pubs in Sabinillis which we would have missed, so have to look on the bright side and say it done us a big favour.

Have you met many neighbours yet and do you think there is still many left for sale on phase one.

We have just been offered Milos 322 by Ros y Falcon for €241K. We were over in October and are familair with the development but have since misplaced the site brochure etc.

Questions

1. Can someone remind me which block is Milos and does it have the 'best' views?

2. Is €241K a 'good' price now?

Thanks

Roger

Roger

Turn into entrance, then kept left as you go round the horseshoe clockwise. Milos is the last bloque on the left just before you reach the apex.

(These are the line of buildings immediately next to the Golf. There are no other buildings in front of you) Views will be superb -  you get the Med, the pools, the gardens, the golf, and the wild nature stuff.

I think €241K is a good price anytime - I assume this is one of the "hot" properties that can't be completed on ?

Will

PS a new revamped web site www.duquesagoldenmile.com should have all the specs on it.

Edited : it's not that the apartment can't be completed on but the original buyer now finds that they can't complete on it, so RosYFalcon are selling it with the deposit discounted off the selling price. It's how we bought ours just a couple of weeks ago. If you want to pm me.................
