Morning all,
My brother returned from DV yesterday, having used our apartment for a family holiday during the school Easter break. Whilst enjoying themselves by the pool, they started to talk to another owner who during the conversation mentioned "there have been lots of break ins".
Do we really need to broadcast this? We all want the best for Duquesa Village and it is really necessary to mention this to holidaymakers? Once someone has been told this, even if they have a fantastic holiday they are less likely to recommend DV to friends on their return.
I post below the comment from poor Jeff who lost his long term tenants after his 2nd break in:
"Apparently somebody in one of the above flats told my tenant that its the second time my apartment had been burgled and that DV is not safe - so thats why they left"
It is OK to talk about the issue with other owners, as we are all aware of the situation and lets face it we are all trying our best to sort out the security problems. Everything will sort itself out when the site is finished in a few months time, but in the meanwhile lets not put off the few renters we have. In the long term it will be these renters that will help to spread a good word about DV helping to turn it into the happy development we all want it to be.
Remember the WWII saying 'Careless talk costs lives'? Well in the case of DV it is 'Careless talk costs owners money'.
