We completed Monday and tuesday last week and very impressed. Bank drafts 10mins to prepare, snagging 1 hour, NIE number 15mins in queue. Notary and solicitors 1 hour. All very well organised and proffessionally handled by PW.

As for the resort, we have visited many times over the last 2 years and were not dissapointed when finally allowed inside. Phase 6 communal areas still to be landscaped, the 2 swimming pools are most impressive and huge in size, filled and fenced but with settling water and not ready for use, palm trees will be planted within next couple of weeks. Gardens and communal areas still to be landscaped but areas staked out. Garden irrigation pipes being fitted at moment. Very sunny aspect and balconys great in afternoon sunshine. Views excellent throughout.

Termporary facilities for club house, bar , cafe well under construction at north side or resort.

Inside apartments and fittings very good standard,  light and airy. AC condensor for bedrooms 1+2 installed on patio though, lounge condensor on roof. No snagging problems just petty. PW ensured dust, cement droppings etc will be removerd and thoroughly cleaned thoughout inc staircases etc.

All modifications from plan we had ordered thru PW to bathroom had been completed to excellent standard

There are 6 steps down to pool area jenhebre 8 and will push PW to install hand rail for safety purposes.

Great to aslo meet many future Haciendarans who were all extremely excited and cant wait to enjoy the experience sooner rather than later.

Heres to many years of fun and relaxing times in the sunshine.

Graham and Gill

Good to hear the 'bottom end' has finally been opened up.

Looks like we can do the tour of the complete resort at Easter.

Here's to the future

Cheers.

Hi, We are very new to this and due to complete on 28th March 2008. Looking for some guidance from the experts out there.

In particular, the television package, giving sky etc. How do we get this and who is better to go with. We have a spare digital box, is it better to bring our own.  We didn't take a furniture package and opted to buy our own. Where is the best places to go?

Graham,

Bottom end     You can't say anything these days.

No offence intended but it will be nice to be able to drive around the complete resort and not be met with a large metal fence across the road separating off the lowest point in altitude of the resort.

There, is that better!!

But what a great name for a golf society - put me down.

Janice,

Welcome - there's a lot has been said on other PW forums re sky.  PW have pulled the plug on supplying Sky as its not strictyly legal.  You will not be able to bring your spare sky box to HR and plug it in.  There won't be a signal.

Instead, you can pay to get PW's digi box which will give you BBC, ITV and a 'selection' of other channels but no 4, 5 or Sky/Setanta.

PW are negotiating with an outside contractor  who will be offering some sort of sky package on a monthly payment but details are yet to be released.

This should also affect all the other PW resorts as they cannot just single out HR for this stance.

As far as furniture goes, I think you're wise not to go for a package and there's loads to choose from.  We used DFS (Brit owned) in San Javier and Murcia Furniture (Anglo/Dutch) near Mosa Trajectum.  Service very good from both.  There's also a very good local store in Sucina on the Urbanisation, which we found on a later visit.  Robin speaks very good English.

Also we agree DFS is fantastic Paul the owner and his team are English and the service is Great we used them for our place on La Torre and we will use them again for H/R .

Hi anyone,
Brian and I are going out next week to sign for our HR apartment.
Have taken in the feedback regarding furniture packages, and will definately be giving DFS a visit.  Will let you know how it goes.
A shame regarding the Sky package, but I'm sure something else will be worked out soon.
Fingers crossed.

We too used DFS for Bedrooms and Sofa, couldn't decide on dining furniture plus we ran out of money. !!!!!! Anyone got a spare crate? Its a hard life down the bottom end.

Beware if you pay by UK credit card,  we got charged 2.75% for the privalge by Visa.

It's not 'bottom end' per se that's offensive, bit the visual image conjured by the term ' the bottom end has been opened up' I thought customs must be having a purge or something!

I think it's all the rage to get a Nationwide credit card which apparently makes no charge for foreign transactions.

Everyone,

Thanks for the information from all of you. It's so nice to know that there are others who have gone before you who can share.

Another question for you. Do any of you have information on Key holder/cleaning facilities. I have a colleague at work who managed to get a private arrangement in another resort, he says she is a god send. Is there anything like that for HR.
