Hi everybody, or should I say anybody as there is not much activity on this forum.

There have been severe gales over the last two days with some damage. Street signs and satelite dishes have been blown down, and tiles blown from buildings. My own roof terrace looks like its been in a hurricane with all my plants and shrubs reduced to mere stalks, all the leaves and flowers stripped off.

Trees and plants have also been affected. Whilst i am not trying to cause panic, in would advise anyone who cannot look at their property themselves, should get the person who looks after it or someone who lives nearby to have a quick look and make sure everything is ok.

it good to know that this site is still working. Thank you John for the inside information on the weather. i am sorry to here that your plants have been blown away. I have asked Andy and shereen to check our patio.

Any local news yet on la reserva and pennoyra. i know there is a possible land deal but there seems to be no further information. i suppose we have to wait till the junta agree the town plan. perhaps the kenny e could shed some light or any one on the master community. it would be nice to know.

hi johnone,

I was wondering if you or any other people on here could maybe help me.

I am renting in mazana2 but my owner wants me out as he wants to sell up, he also has a few more apartments.

anyway i would really like to stay up there, but have found through agencys people charge alot more than i am paying for a 2 bed ground floor, i have a little girl and 2 small dogs... i carry bags at all times unlike others..

do you know how i can find out who owns which apartment as i have seen one that has been empty for ages and wonder if they want to rent it out.

any info would be gratfully received.

Hi Rachel

I think your landlord may be very optimistic to be confident in selling.

You will of course have no problem in renting another but will just need to point to how much you are willing to pay and are you feeling through a rental agency.

People can then look to see if the they would look at obtaining some income on one of the empty properties

Can you get references and can someone see the apartment you have been renting to see how well its being looked after

Many landlords will rent for less if its a good tenant.

thanks for your reply Dan,

Of course people can come and see my place if its allowed...although it had damp when i moved in which was repaired but the different coloured paint on all the walls looks a bit like a picasso.

Well I think i am the best tenant around as I have seen so many other who are not very good.

I am a single mum of a 5 yr old(very well behaved as has a heart problem so she can tget to excited) i have been here 5 years, was living with my mum for 4 of them, but there comes a time you have to move out. I do not have a very good social life so normally watching tv by 7pm every night. my 2 little bichons keep me company when the daughter is asleep.

I pay 600euros for a ground floor as im a bit scared of heights and of my daughter or dogs falling from higher floors, but they also need the space to play as im working most days. I would also prefer an apt not in direct line with the pool where people can torment the dogs as its no good for them or sunbathers.

so if you know of anybody who would be interested I would be gratefull for a msg.

Hi

Does the landlord go through a rental agency and can you agree to a private rental.

There must be many private rental signs and of course you will have tried this route.

The landlord will then save a good amount no paying said agency,

Am i right that rentals on long term between 750 to 800 euros,

Also go direct to this general forum and start your own thread called RENTAL PROPERTY WANTED LA  RESERVA de MARBELLA

Do the same on Spanish Property Insight.,

Trust me there will be many that will want to rent its just getting the message across.

I have been looking and you can get rentals for 500 euros at the moment calahonda way, but I really need to stay the marbella end of cabopino as my daighter goes to the local school and i dotn want her to move as she is settled

i do go through an agency for the rental but he doesnt want to renew as he wants to sell it.

i will put a new thread right now
