Hi All

I was just wondering if there had been any further developments on Door and Window grills and have any designs and prices been agreed by the community. Will RyF be contributing to some of the costs?

Having just completed and being on a ground level apartment i would be very interested in having them fitted by the time my furniture is ready to be installed. It would just give me piece of mind.

We would like to know if there has been a decision re grills too as we are out soon and would like to have some fitted.

We were told by the AEA that if we had any fitted at the moment we may have to take them off as it had not been agreed by the Community and that this was a decision that would be made at the AGM.

Although having completed last November we have not had any communication re the AGM or agenda or anything else.

Hi I would get in touch with AEA regarding details of AGM as we have been e-mailed the details and yesterday received same in the post.  You also have the option to arrange a proxy vote if you are not attending on the 27th March.

I have submitted a proposal for window grills to be installed.

it would be nice to actually  know what your proposal is, rather than be told there is going to be one at the agm.... eg what window grills where, and are they voluntary. And what about door grills and patterns.

then we can discuss it on here before the AGM, and more people could vote by proxy on it, hopefully then guaranteeing its acceptance.

 

Strictly speaking, technically - any proposal not known to all members BEFORE any AGM, shouldnt be voted upon.    I cant say whether this is the norm in Spanish business matters though. And who knows what AEA will accept, cos sometimes I dont think they know either.

Chas8850, I agree.  What is the proposal and who is backing it?  I would like to have grills fitted to our windows and doors, but obviously want to have details, such as design, colour, etc.  For example, I wouldn't vote for cream coloured grills with a square pattern!!  I know it sounds simplistic, but a design has to be put forward for everyone to vote on.  RyF may still have the final vote at this time, so any design put forward at the AGM should be one that we all agree on, no??  And we can't agree on that unless we know what the design is and we can vote/advise our proxy to vote for or against!

I have just uploaded a gate design from my front door on another community, cost was 250 euros 5 years ago now about 420 for making fitting from A-Fab in Estepona Industrial estate, also try Juan Neco Cerradura next to Big Mat DIY.

I sent this design to AEA some weeks ago with price as a one off, a design and colour shoul be agreed at the AGM, and then its up to you if you want to fit a gate.

Those that attend get a vote, if you give a proxy they have a vote for you and either you give them 'do what you think instructions or define what you want them to vote on'

It has to be this way under Horizontal Law or nothing would go forward unless you had a monthly meeting which is not practical.

Does anyone have any ideas/photos about window/patio door grilles?  Obviously, as they are the ones that will be most evident on the development (the front doors being relatively concealed), maybe some designs for these should be put forward at the AGM for approval.   I would like to have these fitted when I am next there and would really like to have this put to bed at the AGM.  I'm not confident in AEA's ability to actually get a handle on these things - I recall at the last AGM that they agreed to look into DV having a wifi hotspot set up, but haven't seen anything done about that!

We definitely want to install the rear window and door grilles.  Liked the design of Jeff's, and actually feel it will add to the development.  The window grilles are an absolute necessity on ground floor apts.  I think once they are in black wrought iron in an agreed design, the go ahead should be immediate.
