Hello All,
We just received a letter from Corvera dated the 25 April 2008. I am not sure if others have received it yet, so thought it useful to inform (forewarn?) others:
The letter details:
1) Building licences have been granted by Murcia Council. They include a copy of the licence with a fuller version available at site.
2) As per contract, property handover date is set at 18 months from the licence date with the deadline being October 2009. However, they expect completion ahead of deadline. They include a form to bring 'guarantees into line with the contract' and give three options - i) contact the solicitor ii) wait for guarantees to expire and then update iii) update now although not expired. I have limited legal experience, but I assume that if you accept i) or iii) you forgoe any right to challenge the details of when the 18 months period starts - date of granting of licence or start of build.
3) They offer a client card. This gifts Euro 3000 for use of future services (furniture, accessories, golf, cleaning) but there are conditions: only available to the fist 1000 clients, needs to be before June 2008 and you must formalise the deeds of the ownership within 3 months from the time expressly required by Corvera. The card is then valid for 12 months from the date of formalisation. I think a number of pitfalls here for those who wish to mount any legal challenges in future.
I must say that I can't see anyone on the forum mentioning this letter - if you have, apologies in advance. If people have received this letter before and have not posted to tell people, then either they are extremely busy or trying to be the first 1000 ;)
Ash
