The question asked in a previous post related to a request for a plan of our Spa on our urbanisation,a link was provided by Lindaw. The community has now lost the right to view that plan.

I have forwarded a copy of the plans to Suzi Q & have answered the questions that she asked.
Primarily the differences relate to a mezzanine level where the gym equipment was supposed to be, together with a relaxation area/coffee bar.
Ken - unfortunately the link provided was for a disallowed website but the community have not necessarily lost the right to view the plans as if anyone wants them, I am happy to forward.
In fact, what I will do is, I will attach them to the email that I have promised to send out to the Rampton 100 tomorrow.
If anyone who is not on the Rampton 100 wants a copy of the plans, please send me a PM & I will forward to you.
Noreen

Hi everyone
I am putting my head above the parapit to be shot at, but this is what my wife and I think. When we went looking for our apartment, we knew that we would not be able to use it during the summer months due to our work commitments, so we looked at developments that had indoor facilities.
We did not see the plan of the Spa with the mezzanine floor, so we did not expect to see one, the Jacuzzi is smaller than in the brochure, but as it says “for illustrative purpose only”.
But having said that we should be getting Keymare to correct the faults with the pump room etc, we should be looking to get them build what was supposed to have been built in the first place, the award winning Spa not the runner up, If we don`t push Keymare to put it right and talk about closing it down, it lets them off the hook and gives them a reason not to do anything. We would be opposed to the closure/removal of the indoor facilities and feel that as with anything that is new it will take time to settle and snags will appear. If we had wanted an apartment without these facilities we could have saved ourselves some money by buying on another development.
When we brought on a development, we understood that it would have charges and costs, one of the cost being lifeguards, at €5.400/month or €9.76/apartment/month it is not that much, given that a lifeguard is required, because I do not want to have to pay out even more, when someone’s darling little Johnny or Jessica has drowned and we get sued because we don`t have one.
I am putting my head below the parapit and await the inbound missiles
Regards
Steve

No missiles from me Steve, I couldn't agree more with you that KM should be made to bring the Spa up to the original design. The current facilities are laughable and pay lip service to what we all thought that we were getting, we should not be forced to compromise on this and settle for something less than we thought we were getting.
I would have thought that this was an important topic for the forthcoming community meeting. A formal complaint needs to be to registered by the Community with KM as soon as possible and, if necessary, legal action taken. I do not think that this is something that can wait, or we will miss our chance to do something about it.

Can everyone look again at their plans of the Spa? I can see a lot more that we have missed but, as my brain leans towards legal and is not of the QS or Architect bent, I'm guessing about a few things on there and need to ask you all some questions to see if you can see what I think I see ...
First thing I noticed is the plans are entitled "Local Socio-Deportivo y Piscina Cubierta" which I think translates as something like Sports CLUB and covered pool. In no way, do we have a CLUB. To reinforce my suspicion that a Club was originally intended, it looks to me like there should have been some sort of bar or cafe area (are those bar stools in front of what appears to be a counter with tables, armchairs and a sofa in the background)? Then off to the right of that, there's what looks like a boardroom or conference area set out in meeting style and (a real shot in the dark here) but maybe those are 2 pool/snooker tables in between or are they some sort of hard floor so that it can be turned into a dance area at night? What does everyone else think?
Also, doors lead off the lounge area into a separate enclosed area with pictures of what look like gym equipment to me. If this is the case, the gym we should have had is far larger and superior to what we have been handed by KM. Or maybe its an outdoor sunbathing area .. I can't figure it out. Help! If it is a gym, then it would have been perfect to have it up there, away from the side of the pool and the temptation for kids to jump on and off the equipment barefoot with waterlogged shorts on, as I have personally witnessed several times. Presumably, if there was also a bar or cafe area you had to walk through to get to the gym and someone looking after that, they could have kept an eye on the gym area to see equipment wasn't abused or stolen too! There seem to be steps leading outdoors from the gym/rooftop area down the side of the building and back onto the block paved area at the front.
I've enlarged the ground floor plan but this distorts the writing explaining what was intended. It looks like just the pool, changing facilities, sauna/steam room and a lot of sunbeds?
Okay, guys, over to all of you and hopefully this will all be answered by Seasun anyway at the meeting. By the way, is someone from KM going to be in attendance as well to answer our questions? If Maria is no longer there, I wonder who this will be? We should ask Luis I suppose, if anyone can get hold of him, as we need to clarify who KM would send and whether they will be capable of answering the many questions I'm sure will be fired their way

The current facilities represent only a third of the ones proposed on the drawings which were prepared in December 05.
The infrastructure is there but at some late stage Keymare pulled the plug on the original design, missed out the first floor area completely , and therefore the need for the lift. On the ground floor they have reduced the size of the sauna, quashed the gym into the corner which was originally much larger and on the first floor, omitted the screening which isolated the pool from the other wet areas. They have omitted to form several rooms along the south/east wall which seem to include massage beds but retained the pebble walk. The first floor would have contained a much larger gym, a bar with a seating area probable 3 vending machines, the lift from the ground floor,a games room come meeting room with pool tables. The plan also shows 2 toilets along with a shower room, there are 2 further, quite large rooms which I cannot identify.
We have been thoroughly short changed by Keymare if these drawings were not superceded prior to the initial sales
literature being prepared. With the superstructure being in place it would seem like a cost cutting excersize at a late stage.

Just a thought, does anyone know who gave KM the "award" for the award winning spa. It might be worth trying to get hold of them and get the plans/details of the design that won. Then we can use that and all KM publicilty/boasts about it when we start pushing hard to get them to correct it. We still mantain that talk of closing it down or part of it down is wrong and dangerous for us, if we want to pursue KM for the award winning design and get the development as it should be.

Malcolm ,
I can PM you his email address or you could join the new community web-site and either post it on the forum for him in the thread Mezzanine or I could translate it and post it on your behalf. I feel that it is important that the whole of the community realises, that includes all nationalities.
Thanks Ken

Thanks for the name of the awards, I have managed to establish that the award was given for
The promotion of Thalassa KeyMare, located in Vera, has a total of 553 housing units 2 and 3 bedrooms, in an exclusive urbanization with a complex centre of Spa and finesse, as well as extensive gardens, heated pool and paddle courts, other services.
Respect for the environment, quality and design of this promotion have§ been the main reasons that took into account the jury to deliver this award to KeyMare
Al Andalus Thalassa, property development Key Mare has been recognized by the Spanish BBVA Property Awards with the prize for best promotion of 2006 in Almeria. A prestigious distinction, which has taken into account aspects such as design of the promotion, quality, innovation and respect for the environment.
The exclusive urbanization Al Andalus Thalassa, located in the town of Almeria Mojácar - Vera, in his mind over 100,000 m2 with a total of 553 houses surrounded by pools, gardens, sporting areas and a modern spa and fitness center with indoor pool, Jacuzzis, water circuits, sauna, gym and turkish bath, among other relaxation area.
After 12 years of experience organizing the famous International Property Awards, prizes BBVA Spanish Property Awards have been created in collaboration with the English media group The Daily Mail to recognize the best promotions within the real estate sector in Spain.
Unfortunatly I have not been able to find a copy of any plans, or drawings to accompany the article. So it is looking like the best we can come up with are the plans that we already have, unless someone out their knows better?

Hmm - modern spa and fitness center with indoor pool, Jacuzzis, water circuits, sauna, gym and turkish bath, among other relaxation area.
Really? Where is this? Thalassa? Surely not?
I'll bet a Euro to a pinch of pig s**t the jury weren't shown the final excuse for a Spa.
