yesterday the builders completed the foundations for the security lodge at the entrance to DV. Cannot be long until they clear the site...new trees being planted at the entrance.

Do you know if the entrance to the site is to be made totally secure i.e. walled/gated entrance with security lodge?

I will be there in spirit and full of spirits if we win!!! Seriously I have spent 8 weeks in the last year in Moscow on business and the thought of paying about a grand of my money to visit it freely was not on the agenda...not even for the match...anyway i need the golf practice to give you a game next time your are over  .
Anne...i will try and get sight of the plans when i walk up there and the workmen are about...let you know...but the markings on the ground suggesst a barrier on both sides of th lodge.
Dave..hope you all got home ok...your plant has passed away ( joking) ...still drinking all that orange juice you left..

I will get some pictures...there seems to be 2 small buildings being built ..one in the middle of road and one adjacent to block 15.

Any sign of the A.E.A. site office opening? I wonder if one of those two buildings will be used by them?
Although when I asked at the port they told me that only a telephone (maybe broadband) line was needed and then they would open.

Hi Paul...no sign at all ...the post is still in the port office.
I asked the builder about the construction and the lodge for security is the largere bulding at the side and the central construction is to house the mechanism for the doors or barriers ...i couldn´t determine what they will be. He also saod he will send RYF a copy of the plan but as usual RYF , when i asked them to view the plans , said they will send a copy to the comminity!!!!!

I received a PDF from AEA today with the gate plans, I assume other DVers that have given their email to AEA will have received them as well.

Just uploaded a couple of photos of the construction work taking place at the entrance. Unless my reading of the plans is amiss we are either getting gates which swing open and close or nothing at all as a barrier would not work as the beamed structure across the top would stop the barrier from being raised.

Thanks for the photos John, its a much bigger construction than I imagined but looks really promosing. We might get a grand entrance which has got to be good.
