Hi Fionnuala. Must admit we got our mirrors and certain hardware from Leroy Merlin, at La Canada commercial centre, just after Puerto Banus on the way to Marbella on the A7 (Ojen exit, I think).
There is a little Ferreteria (I think that's the spelling!!), near the Sabinillas roundabout - for hardware stuff, keys (you have changed your locks?), etc.

There is a very good hardware shop next to Bernardo Munoz in Sabinillas. Bernardo Munoz stock just about anything you could want for your apartment. Electrical goods, furniture, bathroom fittings, lighting, bed-linen, etc etc.

There is also a Leroy Merlin's in Los Barrios which has other outlet shops for home furnishings. There is also a massive Carrafour. It is going down towards Gibraltar and is well signposted.

Hi,
Thanks for all your help. We have been to Leroy Merlins, which is great. As my husband has very little time when he is over, he just wants to drop into a local hardware shop.

The Chinese shop in Sabinilas has some large inexpensive mirrors.
The Trading Post (near the Sanbinilas Tourist Information office) sells some good second hand mirrors - you have to keep calling in to check as stock moves quickly.
I find mirrors in Spain are generally not to my taste and they seem to be expensive - bought some of ours from Argos and transported over.
Now the Euro is so strong against the Pound transporting stuff from the UK is worth considering every time.

We got lovely one in Puerto Banus at the small open air craft market. They were cheaper than most places as they were prepared to barter. Have seen some great second hand ones at the Sabinillas Sunday market - (on the fairground site).
