Dog Friendly Hotels UK to Malaga
The Comments |
Hi,
Bringing the furry ones with us next time we go out as planning to stay for 3 months. Will be travelling from Uk (Eurotunnel) to Malaga and will be the first time driving. Obviously cant spend as long in the car driving as if we were travelling without the dogs. Has anyone got an idea of max amount of time to drive per day...ie 2hrs with breaks to a max of 6 hours per day and any good dog friendly hotels along the way. I'm guessing we will need at least 2 nights accommodation?
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi
The sensible thing to do would be to take your time and have two stop-overs. If you go on the booking.com website and choose the location and date of where you want to stay, they will show you a list of options to the left of the page. Click on the 'accepts pets' option and it will bring up all the hotels which accept pets in that area. You might find a surcharge of around €10 for taking pets but that depends on the hotel.

We did this 12 years ago, driving from Bilbao to Granada. We did 2 hour stretches and then stopped for pet toilet breaks. Going through France we found the Campanille motorway hotels were excellent and accept pets at no extra charge. We had 2 overnight stops 1 in France and 1 in Spain which allowed us and the pets (1 dog and 1 cat ) a stress free journey.
