It might help if you say what area you are in. Someone might not want to trek down from Bilbao to Seville, for example, to change a car.

Paul. If you do find a car be sure, if you have E.U. Citizen Registration, that you cancel it before you drive a non Spanish registered vehicle or you may find yourself in trouble,

Paul, before you risk driving back to the UK in a car that you haven't had the time to get to know, have you considered driving your Spanish reg car to the UK? There is a very strong demand for good quality LHD cars in the UK - either selling privately via e-bay, for example, or to one of the dedicated LHD specialist dealers. You may be surprised how much you get for it. The other benefit is that once back in the UK, you'll have a far better choice yourself, whereas even if you're lucky enough to pick up a decent & reliable UK reg RHD in Spain, chances are it won't be what you want long term so will only end up trading it back in the UK anyway. Plus, as John points out, strictly speaking you shouldn't be driving a UK reg car in Spain if you're a resident anyway.

Roberto “you shouldn't be driving a UK reg car in Spain if you're a resident anyway.”
I made to comment because I do know a case where the Guardia Civil visited a resident who had bought a RHD on UK plates to drive back to UK. I understand a neighbour with whom he had a problem grassed him up. They confiscated the car and he was fined too
I also know a municipality where the policía local specialise in checking UK reg cars, directly with DVLA, including whether they are `road taxed.’ They often confiscate cars and issue fines, so not that uncommon
