We recently held our AGM and voted for our President. All previous AGMs it's been 1 vote per property no matter if an owner owns 2 properties. Our Community has 92 properties but only 64 were represented. Our proposed sitting president got 33 votes and the challenging one got 31 votes. However the Administrator, who knew we were trying to get rid of them decided to change the system so that it was 1 vote per owner. No mention wa made of this at the meeting.
2 owners who voted for the sitting president owned 2 properties so the administrators declared each candidate to have 50% of the vote.
They then assigned the quotas and summed then, the sitting President got 36 and the challenger got 34.
we believe the sitting President won but the Administrators say that they didn't because they didn't get a a double majority.
would appreciate your views....
