I have been told that during any given conversation 50% of what comes out of my mouth is generally off the topic generally being talked about!!

I just convey that to the forum....

Nah dont think that is a good idea cos if you did that then someone would start a serious discussion that would last forever.

Woken you all up now? I'm still here, but keeping quiet in case anyone asks anything about communities. I'm so conscientious, I can't help replying. Same problem being president here. I just can't tell my neighbours to get stuffed when they're nagging me about one petty grievance or another. (Much as I would like to) So instead, I just creep around hoping nobody notices me. Only 5 months of my term left. Trouble is, one particular curtain twitcher has set up trip wires in the corridors, and it's impossible to get past his door without him springing out and catching me......

And the other 50% comes out of? ....................pure genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There,now that everyone is not being quiet i am off home,parents evening tonight,see how thye little bug,,,(cherubs) have been behaving.

If the teacher says they talk too much it's not my fault!!!!!!

Since we're now off-topic (this should go in the "How does a Community Run?" thread)............

Can't remember if I've told about our intermittent fault on the automated garage door? We've had it for 4 years, but every time the engineer from BATICEL (FUENGIROLA) comes out, it's working fine, and he says if it ain't broke, he can't fix it. Then we go through an "intermittent" phase of door/car comings together, call BATICEL (FUENGIROLA) again, but by the time they arrive....yep, working fine. Etc etc.

Enter the current president (2 years ago) to take over the fight, only to find the outgoing president didn't record anything in writing, so we can't prove it was faulty during the guarantee. Etc etc. Year or so passes, plenty more intermittent incidents, twitchy curtain neighbour offends president by implying that he is incompetent or incapable of sorting out BATICEL (FUENGIROLA), so is invited to take over the struggle.Twitchy curtain neighbour tries in vain to get BATICEL (FUENGIROLA) to sort problem out once and for all, and slithers off back to Extremadura to leave president to try again.

Last week, a new engineer turns up (ex-Madrid), says he's seen this kind of problem loads of times in the Capital and knows how to fix it. President argues with boss of BATICEL (FUENGIROLA) that it's not our fault that it took them 4 years to employ a competent engineer, but to no avail. If we want the work done, we pay. (Read: if president wants a quiet life, we pay, and let the next president figure out how!)

This morning, competent BATICEL (FUENGIROLA) engineer turns up (no notice) to do the job. Three hours later all working fine, assurances that the problem is now history, president happy and relaxed.

ONE HOUR LATER - NEIGHBOUR KNOCKS ON PRESIDENT'S DOOR. GARAGE DOOR IS NOW HAPPILY OPENING AND CLOSING ALL ON IT'S OWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

President rings BATICEL (FUENGIROLA), who do not answer their phones as it's now siesta.

President feels like crying, but turns to a friendly internet forum for comfort instead. By the way can I (did I) mention that the automated garage door compan involved was BATICEL (FUENGIROLA)? If not, sue me. See if I care.

As we are into 'community'....................................our door bell just went and we were greeting with....'where's my front door key then?'.

We have had new main door locks fitted for SECURITY...........so only want to give keys to owners, not just anybody.....or it won't be SECURE!!

So, not having seen this person before ( there are 184 apartments!!)..............just asked if they were an owner and did they have identification?

Cannot write the reply on this very nice forum..............suffice to say that I was very, very tempted to stick the front door key where the sun don't shine and turn it round and round!!!!!!
