Hi everyone my husband went out last sunday 6th until wednesday 9th to see if he could find out any further update on the hipodromo site. Mike went to the Malaga office and saw Maria Alcaide Torres who is now our one and only contact as Elisabeth who use to work in Aifos' office in the Byblos hotel has now left Aifos! Maria told him that they had put paperwork in at the Town Hall for the first occupation licence which we knew about anyway. Apparently when Mike asked about the car parking space he was told that under no circumstances these would be NON NEGOTIABLE which is unacceptable considering the length of time we have been waiting but still was told NON NEGOTIABLE!!! On tuesday morning Mike went to see Katja at the town hall and she told him Aifos know what they have to do to get the occupation licence so it sounds like they are stalling for whatever reason. On wednesday Mike went on site and saw only 2 workers (!) plus the cranes have gone (can only assume they have taken these away as there is no other building work to be done until the other apartments if ever will get a building licence They have also taken away the Aifos sale office portacabin so guess there is nothing to sell. Mike managed to get into our apartment (we are in Brida) and as yet the kitchen is not in, the internal doors not in nor is the sink and toilet. This is the same for Ascot, and for Alazan and Derby some windows have still got to be put in. We was last over in January and 6 months on nothing has been done apart from the weeds which are overgowing!! We are next over in September but in the meantime as john newton had put in one of his previous messages we must ALL contact Maria at the malaga office to keep the pressure on as the site will never get done with only 2 men working. Be interesting to see if in september once the Benalmadena complex has been completed if Aifos are true to their word(!) that they will put more workers on to the hipodromo site but we wont hold our breath!! Kind regards Cathy
