Builders water and electric

Does anyone know if the builders water and electric is already on in the apartments? Or do you have to make arrangements with Polaris World for it to be turned or for you? If so... Who do you contact and how long does it take?

If you ask during your snagging appointment they will arrange it all for you. Electric is NOT on when you snag, there was water in ours, but we were told that it was just the residual in the pipes. 

PW say that it takes 3-4 days to get you connected onto both the electric and water  - I spoke to a couple of people on site in their own apartments who confirmed that and were happily using it.  The builders supply will stay on until the utility comapnys intall the individual meters.

I spoke to Customer Services within the last two weeks and they said that we would need to tell them when we were going over so that the builder's water and electricity is supplied.  They explained that they cannot supply every single apartment with the builder's supply, so they will only switch it on when they are advised that the apartment is going to be used.  I have given them the dates that we are over in August - they told me that when we leave, they will switch it off so that they can supply other apartments.

Apparently you need to e-mail Customer Services and they make the necessary arrangements.

I spoke with PW also this morning. They told me much the same thing. They need 24hours notice to turn it on. The problem I had was that the AirCon people were coming today to make installation. PW made every effort to get things turned on for their arrival, but finally there was some "fuse" problem that couldn't be resolved until this afternoon - so the installation is delayed until Friday. The AirCon company had their own generator with them, but the security on the site would not allow them to use it????
A few days delay is no problem... I don't arrive there until 9th August anyway.. On countdown now.... Seems to be taking FOREVER though....
