Hi All,
I am sure the information I am after has already been posted on another thread, but I can't find it. So appologies in advance.
Can anyone tell me the distance from floor to the bottom of the window in the 2nd bedroom of these apartments.
We are looking at putting a double bed under the window to give more room in this bedroom and need to know this distance to see if the headboard we have ordered will fit.

Hi Phil ,
Sorry can't be of any help with the sizes you asked for. We are also trying to find out the width and drop of the patio doors in the lounge and the first bedroom, so that we can maybe buy curtains over here and take them out. Does anyone have this information?
on a slightly different note does anybody know if there is a tool hire place close by for things like drills etc, so that it makes it easier to put curtain poles & shelves up.
Thanks
Alison & Simon

Hi Alison & Simon,
Don't know of a tool hire place but there is a shop in Puerto De Mazarron that sells drills etc they have an 18V Battery Hammer drills for 21 Euro. They look ok intend to buy one next time we are out for similar reasons.
Can't remember the name of the shop but as you enter Peurto De Mazarron there are some shops and SolBank on your right. At the end of this row is a general hardware type shop(got electrical goods in window and sunbeds outside) Thats the shop. It is almost directly opposite Lidel.

Hi Alsion & Simon
Whilst I was out last month for completion I measured the windows & patio doors in order to take curtains over, now these measurements are what I thought I would need AFTER estimating where the curtain poles would need to be & tie backs etc.... so in theory I have already added extra allowing for height of curtain pole and where I would like tie back hooks to be - NOT THE EXACT MEASUREMENT OF WINDOWS THEMSELVES if that makes sense.
Lounge & Bedroom Patio Doors - width 7ft - length 7ft 9in
Other Bedroom Windows - width 5ft 3 in - length 5ft 6in
( These are for the 3 bed apt )
Hope that helps and makes sense

Hi Carol ,
Thanks a lot for this info. You noted that the drop for the patio doors is 7ft 9", which works out at 93", after allowing for the height of the curtain pole. When looking at ready made curtains yesterday we found that the longest drop was 90" so hopefully we'll be able to lower the pole by 3".
Speak to you later

As for drills/tools etc, there is a pretty good hardware shop on the Camposol urbanisation less than 10 minutes away by car. It's not a hire shop, I'll be buying a drill and various other things there on my 'completion' visit. It's a good 10 minutes closer to 'Condado' than Mazarron.
Camposol is also handy for staying at when doing jobs before the apartments are ready - that's what I plan to do.

Hi All,
Hubby gonna take tools out there so we can do lights etc inside, not sure how high the lights are outside might get the company on my other thread "are lights included" to do those. Question is what else do we have do buy ouselves. We knew air-con wasn't included now the lights and now they are not building the small shopping centre whats next.

Ruthless -
Re the lights not being included : that's standard for Spanish new build properties, so it's not just something that PW have decided to do. Our estate agent made it clear when we brought in March '07 that there'd just be bare wires when we completed, so it was expected.
Re the outside lights : all of them (including the one on the side steps up to the solarium) are approx head height (5ft 9 or so), so you should be able to easily fix external lights without a step ladder etc. I saw several people fixing their own when I was out there over the weekend of 18th July...
Hope that helps
